📣 **SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT** 📣 Please note we just heard from Mason Smith, a biologist with FWC's Marine Fisheries Management: "Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day is fast approaching this weekend and we are aware that a team will target the BHB area looking for juvenile lionfish - please don’t be alarmed if you see them this weekend using dipnets looking for lionfish (and lionfish ONLY). We are also communicating with our local law enforcement and the county so that hopefully everyone is aware. If you can, please help us spread the word that lionfish collecting is perfectly legal (and encouraged!), even in the protected waters around the BHB." (photo by Jake Milman)

Conditions for today's high tide courtesy of Jeff Nelson at Force E. He said divers reported "remarkable" 30-40ft viz, water temp 78-80 degrees and all the usual suspects out and about. Thanks for the update, Jeff! Two legs, six legs, eight legs, or no legs we'll be celebrating Moms all this weekend. Here's a fun cartoon to kick things off!

Missing a fin? One of our divers found this lonely fin on the back side of Fourth Window and would like to return it to it’s owner! If it belongs to you or you know who the owner is, please reach out so we can get it back to them! This is an Atomic X1 fin, size large.

This little cutie is called a slender filefish, Monacanthus tuckeri, and is one of the smallest types of filefish in the world: growing to a mere three inches. A master of disguise, this fish is usually found hiding out in the gorgonians, changing its color and even patterns to blend in with its surroundings.
