The long awaited next post....sorry, life.
Here is my review of DisneyLand's Disney California Adventure Park. We did not rope drop. We got to our hotel very late into the night so we slept in. On our walk to the gates, we stopped and had breakfast at Beignets Expressed. It was soooo good. In fact, I liked their beignets better than ones I tried in New Orleans.🫣We continued on to the gates and had an easy entrance. Our first stop was pictures with Goofy and Donald Duck. The MyDisneyExperience App is the best tool to use at any Disney location. Ride times, food service, and meet and greet times are all posted there.
Our 1st ride of the day was Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout. Now, I should have known by the look of the building that it was built like the Tower of Terror. I have not done much studying on DisneyLand. 😬 Tower is a thrill ride that drops you then picks you back up and drops again and again. Guardians in DisneyWorld does NOT do this. My sister hates rides. We begged her to ride this based on DisneyWorld. Big mistake!! The ride was awesome and even better than TOT but I have no idea what was happening during the drops because I was trying to keep her from passing out or puking! Mission accomplished there, but she didn't ride very many rides after that.
Next, we took a walk through Hollywood Land and had some cute pictures made. I always recommend getting the PhotoPass and take as many pictures as you can. We did Monsters, Inc and Mickey's Philharmonic.
Then we circled back around to Cars Land and had a bite to eat at Flo's V8 Cafe. While waiting for our food, we saw Mater and Lightning McQueen drive by. Once our bellies were full, we walked back to the front and took a lot of cute pictures. This area is a little kids dream!! It has such cool rides and it feels just like you are there. It was decorated for Christmas and was soooo cute. If you have little that love the movie, this is the place for you. We rode Radiator Springs Racers, which was awesome.
Our next adventure was over in Paradise Gardens Park where we rode The Little Mermaid, watching the Toy Story Army Men perform, and took cute pictures in front of the big wheel.
Moving onto Pixar Pier, we did the Incredicoaster, grabbed some ice cream and met a few Pixar characters. Toy Story Mania is always a big hit!
We bypassed a few rides that were better suited for younger kids. We finished off that area with Goofy's Sky School and Golden Zephyr.
Making our way back to the exit, we meet Chip and Dale. We decided not to ride the water ride, Grisly River Run. No one likes walking in wet shoes.....We ended our day with Soarin', another favorite. We got in everything on our list to do so we headed back to the hotel.
Back at Disneyland Hotel, we sat down for a character buffet meal. We arrived a little early and they accommodated us with no problems. We enjoyed our food at Goofy's Kitchen and got to interact with Chip, Dale, Minnie, and Pluto.
We were going to go back for the big show but our feet said absolutely not. Instead, we got to see them from our room. We called it a night and sleep hard.
I was very impressed with how low the crowds were on this Thursday. 10/10 recommend this park.
