Welcome to fall in the Northwoods! Blue Spruce Cabin is located on fully recreational Little Spider Lake on a dead end road. The cabin is 1332 square feet and sleeps 6 to a max of 8. We are 10 minutes north of Minocqua in Arbor Vitae. And yes, we are dog friendly for up to 2 well behaved dogs 🐶.
Inside description:
There are 3 bedrooms. The primary has a queen bed and a newly added 3/4 bath. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and an oversized chair that pulls out to a twin bed with mattress topper. The third bedroom has a double bed.
The second bath is newly remodeled and has a bathtub/shower combo. Toilet paper. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided.
The kitchen is well appointed and includes any appliance you could need such as coffee maker coffee and some pods, toaster, blender, kitchenaid mixer and more. We keep salt pepper and spices in the kitchen and also provide paper towels and napkins. There are two eating areas. A table that seats 4 in the kitchen and a dining area in the sunroom that seats 6.
In the summer months we have window air conditioners that keep it nice and cool.
The first living area has two leather couches and a rocking chair. The sunroom has a couch with pull out queen bed, chair and bench.
Washer/dryer laundry soap and softener sheets provided.
The cabin has high speed internet as well as TVs in two bedrooms and TVs in both living areas. We recently added the sunroom with beautiful views of the lake or watch the wildlife including deer, eagles, loons, ducks, geese, beaver and a variety of birds. The wooded park like setting and lake views provide instant peace.
The outside:
Enjoy the large deck with a Weber gas grill, a bar height table and four chairs as well as a conversation area with patio furniture (sofa and chair). There is a fire pit and chairs in front of the cabin as well as a fire pit down by the lake. Firewood is provided. We have a corn hole game and a few other outdoor games. Down by the lake, there is a hammock (my favorite spot to read❤️) a bench swing, a tree swing and a shed that contains fishing gear and life jackets. For fun on the water, we provide a fishing boat with 4 hp motor and gas. This will get you anywhere you want to go on the lake. We also have 2 kayaks, two paddle boards a lily pad and a pedal boat and two adult bikes for you to use. We have a pontoon available for rent as well.
While our shoreline is considered a fisherman’s bottom and not desirable for swimming, there are two options on the lake that you could take a boat or paddle to. 1st there is a sunken sandbar marked by a buoy in the middle of the largest part of the lake. The water there is about 2-3 feet deep. You often see families parked there and standing in the water to hang out together. The second option is the state land shoreline which is north of the buoy and has a sandy, pebble bottom. This is where we love to take the dogs to play fetch and just enjoy the lake.
We also provide dog bowls and have two dog life jackets for older dogs.
Our location is very quiet and also close to many of the best restaurants in the area.
