I'm pretty lazy about posting, but I thought, what the heck, why not post every once in a while on here. I had an awesome day on this trip with some great friends of mine! I took some quick video, while snorkeling off the shore where my friends were lounging and eating ice cream. It's a beautiful beach that I really enjoyed, Banana Beach on Koh He island.

So excited for when I get to Kuala Lumpur at the end of March, and enjoy this view out my window. I promise to hopefully get a much better video of this view and the Muslim "Call of Prayer," too.

Maybe I can get lucky and instead of getting lighting flashes in my video (there's only a couple of flashes), I can actually get some lightning strikes, and MAYBE even be lucky enough to see it strike the tallest building in the skyline and at the moment the 2nd tallest building in the world, the Merdeka 118, to the right of the photo and video.

I saw it strike the building back in May of 2022, twice! There's actually so much I'm getting excited for...especially the food in Vietnam, Thailand, AND Malaysia, so get ready for lot's of posts and videos one week from today!!!

With the freezing weather here, I'm so looking forward to getting back to Thailand and Vietnam! Last year I had just arrived in Phuket, and was waiting for one of my suitcases Korean Air left in Incheon, to get to me, lol. Boy do I miss that warm weather. Can't wait to be sitting on a beach soon! But first stop, Saigon, where I am SOOOO looking forward to this hotpot with my friends. This quick video is from last March at our favorite place near the Ho Chi Minh University in the Thu Duc district.

Out at Proposal Rock, Neskowin, Oregon during a super-low tide. It was such a beautiful morning, too! Our Oregon coast is amazing, if only the ocean water here wasn't freezing cold. If only...I'd never leave.

Three of my favorite beaches on the island of Phuket! The closest is Kata Noi, the middle beach is Kata, and the furthest is Karon. This viewpoint is a famous one on the island known as Karon Viewpoint.

It's a beautiful place to take a break and look out over part of the western shore of this awesome island! I miss this place and can't wait to get back there.

I was looking back through a few of my trips to Hong Kong and ran across this photo of the entrance to the Jumbo Floating Restaurant in Aberdeen on the island. I hope it can reopen after the pandemic because it's such a beautiful place with so many intricate hand carved ornaments and figurines throughout the restaurant.

The food is really pretty good, but the view of the harbor and the extravagant crystal chandeliers inside the establishment are well worth the visit. I really do hope we get past all this, get on to a more normal life again, and I can eat here once again. It's pretty cool to eat in a place where a scene in a James Bond movie was filmed, and where such celebrities as Queen Elizabeth, Tom Cruise and others have dined!

This was one of my favorite days while traveling in Vietnam a few years ago. My friends and I had just left a smalll pottery shop when we noticed this man coming down the road with his cart. Laying on the road was freshly harvested rice drying in the sun. After taking this shot our next stop was a vineyard where we tasted some amazing organic grapes from a strain that originated in France, and sampled some of their excellent wine. We finished our day at a beautiful bay where we devoured some fresh seafood at a small floating restaurant. It was one of those amazing days of travel that I will never forget!

Fall colors while walking around yesterday in the Pacific northwest. It can be very beautiful, but so cold...I want a warm tropical place, but I will miss the pretty leaves!
