Ten years!?!? Blows our minds! This is such an incredible service that benefits tourists and locals both!

Ten years ago, in 2016, the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area launched a pilot project called the Discover Niagara Shuttle. A decade later, we’re incredibly proud of what that pilot has grown into and deeply grateful for the many partners, communities, organizations, and riders who have helped shape its success along the way.

Over the past ten years, the Shuttle has helped connect residents and visitors to the incredible history, culture, natural beauty, parks, trails, businesses, and attractions throughout the region, while also generating meaningful economic impact for local communities and supporting tourism across Niagara County.

What began as an ambitious idea has become an important part of how people experience Niagara.

We’re excited to kick off the 2026 Discover Niagara Shuttle season on Friday, May 22!

Join us for an amazing paddling experience through the Erie Canal beginning at the North Tonawanda Botanical Gardens. This tour is sponsored by the NYS Canal Corporation through the On the Canals program!

This tour is a light paddle that begins and ends at the NTBG. The route takes us around the "island at the three mile bend" which is now an off leash dog park! With any luck, the dogs will be swimming at the beach!
