For Brandi Carlile show #8 of the year, we decided to fly to Texas and take our dear friend Christina Savage to her first BCB show! We caught her a pick and she got rock on fingers from Tim Hanseroth too…not too shabby for her first show. But the absolute highlight of the night was Brandi and Tim covering Dolly’s Coat of Many Colors (swipe to the end for a snippet) during the request portion! We love how every show can still surprise us and give us something special and unique!

It has been over a decade since we have been to a Mariner’s game and apparently our choice of the supporting the WA National Parks was the perfect one! We got to see Kade Anderson’s MLB starting pitching debut, and see Randy Arozarena hit a homerun on both the first and last pitches of the game to seal the M’s win. It was an amazing game to see in person!

Potlatch Rally 2026

Our second Airstream Club International National Rally and it was so much fun to get to spend four days with fellow Airstreamers from around the country and Canada. Hats off to the leadership of the WA Airstream club for an absolutely fantastic event!!!

We had a wonderful tour of the Capitol building in Olympia

We might be biased, but we think the Washington Capitol is pretty spectacular inside!

We got to go inside the Secretary of State’s office and have a behind the scenes tour from a member of his staff. And we got to press our own official state seal of Washington too!

We we so honored to have students from the Wa He Lut Indian School come perform for the rally guests. They are so proud of their culture! The rally raised over $4000 for the school!!!

We also go to tour National Fish & Oyster Farm in Olympia.

It was a stunning day to learn about harvesting shellfish from the Salish Sea

And Mt. Tahoma was out in all her stunning glory too!

The highlight of the rally is always the salmon dinner. Hats off to the chefs for a delicious cedar smoked Chinook!!

We made some fabulous new friends from the BC Airstream club! We had so much fun dancing to the live band for the 70s/80s night with them!

And the Airstream glow is always a highlight. Until our next rally. See you down the road!!

The Pacific Northwest Scottish Highland Games and Gathering was so much fun! This is something we’ve always talked about doing, and never done before. We saw the largest gathering of Scottish pipers and drummers we’ve ever seen in one place, enjoyed so many fabulous musicians, watched live theatre, learned about traditional Scottish crafts, loved on all the dogs in the Celtic Kennel, and were absolutely blown away at the feats of Scottish strength!

So good to have a Broadway at the Paramount date night! Very excited to see Hell’s Kitchen. We super enjoyed our preshow meal at The Carlile Room. Yay Seattle summer!

Fun day at Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium! It’s been a long time since we’ve visited what used to be our neighborhood zoo and aquarium. It was a perfect day for checking out the sharks and the giant pacific octopus and listen to the walrus talk to us. Thanks for a great day Karen Morse and T
