We did a charter on St Martin and St Barts awhile back. Couldn't help myself doing a short and silly video after hearing the Gilligan's Tune again.

Completed another Bare Boat Charter in May. We picked up the boat in St. Martin and sailed to Anguilla and St. Barts. 3 couples and Pat's and Pauline's son Eric joined us. Stiff sail to St. Barts but worth the trip. Beautiful Island.

Made our first charter since loosing Wild Irish Rose II, visiting the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas. Also a first on a Catamaran. Can't believe how much room there is on a Cat. However, still partial to mono hull sailing. Chartered from Dream Yacht Charters.

As with the end of 2017, we now have the official end to the Wild Irish Rose II. Insurance has paid the boat off and where she heads from here, we have no idea. Owning a charter boat in the BVI was a lot of fun but anyone considering it should not consider it an opportunity to make money. The best you can hope for is to break even on cost, assuming your boat stays chartered on a regular basis. The money spent buying the boat will only be recovered when you sell the boat. Boats depreciate very quickly. However, the 2 years the Jonas's and Linden's owned this boat was a lot of fun and we always looked forward to the time when we could get down there and you can't put a price on that! There's something about sailing on a boat that you own. For now we will post our charter experiences on this page until we can own again. I hear the chartering in the Mediterranean is very exciting...
