Did a little recon trip yesterday to see how the beaches were on Northside STJ…you wouldn’t even know the wind is blowing! 💨 Gorgeous up close and tons of people snorkeling…clarity was pretty good from even 20ft out and more. Since the swell shifted back to East…our Northside favorites should be good for a bit 🤿🐠🐙

Snorkel & Dive Conditions for today! Northside is no bueno! Head South to Brewer's Bay, Secret Harbour or backside STJ for calmer conditions....Salt Pond, Lameshur and Reef Bay would be better options until this swell clocks back East tomorrow!

Marine Update – The Indians (BVI)

With the recent North swell we’ve had over the past few days, there have been some reports of jellyfish activity around The Indians. This isn’t unusual after stronger ocean movement...swells can push marine life into areas where we don’t typically see them.

There’s no cause for alarm...just a good reminder to stay aware and prepared. 💙

If you’re heading out:
✔ Wear a rash guard or protective swimwear
✔ Check the water before jumping in and look ahead of you often instead of straight down to see what's coming
✔ Let your captain or dive guide know right away if you feel a sting

We’ve included updated first aid guidance in the graphic here so everyone can feel confident and informed.

Conditions typically settle once the swell calms down, and we’ll keep you posted if anything changes.

As always...dive smart, snorkel aware and respect the ocean. 🌴✨

Snorkel Report – Today’s Best Conditions 🐠☀️

Southside is still the best side as this North swell starts to dissipate today! Visibility may still be a bit churned up but def calmer back side of the islands 🌴
Best Bets on St. Thomas

• Secret Harbour – Calm water, good visibility, and always a solid choice for turtles cruising the grass beds.
• Brewer’s Bay – Looking smooth this morning with nice clarity along the reef edges. Great for beginners and relaxed snorkels.

🐠 Top Picks on St. John

• Salt Pond Bay – Protected and typically clear on south wind days. Watch for rays in the sandy patches.
• Great Lameshur Bay – Good protection, healthy reef sections, and usually steady visibility.
• Little Lameshur Bay – Slightly more exposed than Great, but still offering solid conditions today.
• Rendezvous Bay – Calm and scenic, with decent visibility and fewer crowds.

💡 Snorkel Tip:
Stick closer to shoreline reefs for the clearest water and avoid areas with heavy boat traffic. As always, check wind direction before heading out and keep an eye on changing conditions.

If you get in the water, drop your visibility report below! 👇
Happy snorkeling & stay safe out there 🤿💙
