Milk tea shops and smaller restaurants offer a variety of delicious fried snacks. Most popular is Nem Chua Ran Dac Biet, but also Ho Lo and Ca Vien Chien are very common. Sadly most foreigners will never try it, because they simple do not know what it is. In the video I want to introduce you to some of the Vietnamese snacks. If you want to try it out, just go to the restaurants on the east side of the Tranh Thi Ly bridge or any milk tea shop and eat yourself through the menu.

The beaches at Son Tra are so special, because most of them are unknown, especially to tourists who barely go there. A great opportunity to find deserted beaches, very clean, perfect water and an awesome view onto the city on one side, and the jungle on the other side.

There are few things better in the world than a hot bowl of bánh canh. Oh how I love this dish. "Bánh" means cake (there are many similar meanings) and "canh" means broth. The cake refers to the thick noodles at the bottom of the soup. You can choose between tapioca (bột lọc), rice (bột gạo) and wheat (bột mỳ) noodles. My favourite at the tapioca noodles.

Don´t leave Da Nang without having tried at least one bowl of bánh canh!

Chickens and ducks are held in tiny cages at the markets to sell them as fresh as possible. Refrigeration is not that common yet, or at least the customs of poorer times are still usal. That means that you buy the meat and fish as fresh as possible in the morning and cook it within the same day. No month long freezing or thousands of kilometres of transports. Simple, easy and fresh. But still, it is sad to see these bad conditions that the animals have to endure within their last hours of their lives.
