The story of rum is closely tied to the Royal Navy in the 17th and 18th centuries. Sailors were given a daily ration of rum to maintain morale while facing harsh conditions at sea. In 1740, Admiral Edward Vernon ordered rum to be diluted with water, creating "grog" to reduce sailors' drunkenness. This tradition lasted nearly 200 years until it ended on "Black Tot Day" in 1970. Since then, rum has become a symbol of adventurous life and bravery at sea.

As one of the most beautiful beaches on Cat Ba Island, and even considered one of the most stunning in Southeast Asia, Cat Co 2 Beach attracts visitors with its poetic and unspoiled scenery, relatively untouched by human activity.

Here, you can fully enjoy swimming in the cool waters with gentle waves lapping the shore, or participate in beach games and kayaking. From Cat Co 2, you can also follow a small path around the mountain to reach Cat Co 1 and 3 beaches, which are just as beautiful. (Image from Internet)
