The village of Chuong, just outside Hanoi, has a tradition of conical hat production stretching back three centuries. It’s usually a pretty quiet place, but springs to life on select days in the lunar month for its incredible hat market.

Hatters gather from far and wide to trade materials, frames and ready-to-wear headpieces…and also just to have a bit of banter 😀

Great for lovers of photo stories, culture and conical hats. And also early mornings - the market gets going at 4am ⏰
