On this special season, we would like to express our deepest appreciation for all of our clients and partners who chose to travel with us and trusted us for their unforgettable vacation to Indochina.

On the first 9 months of establishment, we have welcomed nearly 40 group of clients (over 320 clients) to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia; and most proudly, we received all positive feedback. Some of the guests are already our returning clients and some will continue to travel with us next year!

The super typhoon Yagi is approaching to the northwest of the East Sea and the eastern Gulf of Tonkin, causing four airports in Vietnam to temporarily suspend operations on 7 September 2024:

⛔ Nội Bài International Airport (Hanoi): From 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
⛔Vân Đồn International Airport (Quang Ninh Province): From 4:00 am to 4:00 pm
⛔Cát Bi International Airport (Hai Phong City): From 5:00 am to 4:00 pm
⛔Thọ Xuân Airport (Thanh Hoa Province): From 12:00 am to 10:00 pm

Typhoon Yagi, the third typhoon this year, is said to be the biggest typhoon that might hit the East Sea in the past 10 years.

Vietnam Airlines is set to launch a new direct route connecting the capitals of Vietnam and Cambodia - Hanoi and Phnom Penh - starting October 27, 2024. This route, which will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Airbus A321 aircraft, marks a significant milestone in strengthening tourism and business ties between the two countries.

It's inspiring to learn that the Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Village Restaurant is striving for sustainability by adopting a "zero plastic" policy in catering and halving the carbon footprint of their plates through the use of reusable cups and crockery. Impressively, 80% of the dishes served are of French origin, with 25% sourced within a 250 km radius of the village. Furthermore, Paris 2024 has taken significant steps to combat food waste by signing agreements to redistribute surplus food to those in need. Viva the spirit of sport, viva the Olympics!

Completed the two-day training on Sustainability for Tour Operators & Travel Agents, provided by Travelife for Tour Operators. We gained valuable knowledge and insights thanks to the facilitators, Peter Richards and Chaba Chaijaree, and all the participants.

✏️ Key takeaways:

1) Sustainable tourism does not mean sacrificing safety and comfort while traveling. Instead, it is about balancing the benefits to the traveler with the well-being of the environment, the local community, and the economy as a whole.

2) Sustainability needs to be practiced both internally and externally (within and outside the organization). Travel agents and tour operators have the responsibility to share and inspire their staff and other stakeholders in the supply chain to make tourism sustainable.

3) Sustainability needs to be approached in a systematic and long-term manner. Small actions or changes in behavior today can have a significant impact in the next 3-5 years or more.

4) Together, we have more power to enhance the positive and reduce the negative impacts of tourism.

Attending the Sustainable Tourism Training provided by Travelife (22-23 Jul 2024).

We are a member of Travelife since April 2024 and we have started the process to work step by step towards complying with international sustainability standards. Travelife for Tour Operators and Travel Agents is internationally recognized and supported by the global travel industry as the preferred sustainability training, management and certification program for sustainability in tourism. Moreover, Travelife standards are formally recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Travelife is a three-stage certification program for tour operators and travel agents:

(1) Travelife Engaged;

(2) Travelife Partner and

(3) Travelife Certified.

We are at stage 1 – Travelife Engaged, and we are still working to move forward to stage 2 – Travelife Partner.
