Cao Quy Linh is a traditional Chinese herbal jelly popular in Saigon’s Chinese-Vietnamese community. It has a glossy black color, soft chewy texture, and a slightly bitter herbal taste.

🌿 Traditional: Made with turtle shell powder, Smilax, licorice, and other herbs.
🌿 Modern: Usually made with plant-based herbs, with a soft jelly-like texture and rich herbal flavor.

🌳 Uncle Cuội is said to have been carried to the Moon while holding onto a magical banyan tree. Vietnamese folklore tells that the dark shadow seen on the full moon is Cuội, sitting beneath the tree and missing his homeland.

🌙 Ms. Hằng is the beautiful woman who lives on the Moon, symbolizing beauty, purity, and the gentle moonlight of the full-moon night.

✨ During Tết Trung Thu, children gather to enjoy lanterns, mooncakes, lion dances, storytelling, and the magical atmosphere of the full moon.

👩‍🍳 Chef Bùi Thị Dung has been making phở since 1986. After overcoming breast cancer, she opened Phở Chào in 2020 — and her story makes this place even more special. ❤️

🥣 Must-try: Phở Tine
A fun Vietnamese twist on Canada’s Poutine! Crispy fries + cheese + concentrated phở sauce + beef + carrots + onions. Creamy, savory, and surprisingly delicious. 😋

✨ One more nice feedbacks from a guest from the USA! 🇺🇸😊

This was his second time visiting Saigon, but it was his first time booking a private tour guide.

He booked me for a 5-hour private tour, and we explored Saigon by scooter 🛵, visiting local places and hidden corners he didn’t get to experience on his first trip.

I’m happy I could show him a different side of Saigon and make his day enjoyable! 🥰
