Da Nang launches stimulus programme to lure visitors
The central city of Da Nang will launch a tourism stimulus programme from August 1 to help local businesses overcome difficulties during the low season, the Da Nang Today online reported.

The city is likely to see a significant decrease in the volume of domestic visitors from September compared with the summer months. In addition, there has been a sharp decline in the number of visitors to the city from China and its territories since mid May.

In an attempt to attract more visitors, the “2014 Tourism Stimulus” programme is to be launched one month earlier than last year’s in order to encourage more domestic tourists.

The programme, which will run until 31 December, will focus on domestic and foreign tourist markets, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism, instead of only the domestic tourist market as last year.

According to statistics released by the city’s Tourism Promotion Centre, about 90 businesses across the city have so far registered to participate in the programme. They will offer many promotional programmes, and up to 10 percent discount on their services and products.

Apart from offering discounts, the businesses will pay special attention to diversifying their tourist products and launching new tours in order to attract more visitors to the city.

Last year’s programme drew a great deal of attention from local hotels, resorts, restaurants, transport service providers and tourist areas who offered up to 50 percent discount on their prices.

However, local travel agents were unable to offer the best prices to their customers because cooperation between themselves and the local service providers had been ineffective.

The city’s tourism experts stressed the need for airlines, travel agents and tourist areas to cooperate effectively in order to provide the most attractive promotions to visitors from both home and abroad.

Da Nang is home to an international airport with eight domestic routes and 20 international ones, an international seaport which welcomes 700,000 arrivals each year, and 337 accommodation facilities, including 10 five-star and nine four-star hotels and resorts.

In the first half of this year, it saw more than 1.7 million tourist arrivals, up 15.8 percent from the same period last year. Of this, the number of foreigners topped 450,600, a year-on-year rise of 15.7 percent.

Another reliable source for your information is taxi drivers. Taxi drivers are also the very sociable people. They move around the city in their car, picking up a lot of different customers. And there are many tiny talks along the way between the drivers and customers to exchange knowledge. From these conversations, the drivers can have much information about places in Ho Chi Minh City from the customer’s point of view. And this is impersonal opinion about places. So you might want to ask for some recommendations about the restaurants from these taxi drivers.
Trust your instinct - not everyone will be angelic enough to recommend you somewhere that he or she truly likes instead of sending you to a place that promises them a commission, the revenue of which is from ripping you off with low quality food. Only go with reliable taxi service and use this tip in combination with others below.

2. Look it up
The technologies have changed drastically and it is getting easier for us to get information just about anything. So if you want to know about restaurant hotspots, you can just search it on the Internet. There are many websites that could give you useful information about this topic such as Trip Advisors, Vietnam Online Restaurant Guide or many expat websites.
Using these sources, you can find many reviews about the restaurants, the evaluation of each restaurant and what you should do in a specific restaurant such as place to seat, food to order and so on. These reviews can be written by a professional critic to provide you with some knowledge, tips and recommendation. However, it can also be written by fellow travellers who have had meal at a restaurant and discovered something good about it; so they want to share. It can also come from a regular customer of a restaurant who has many experiences in dining at that restaurant. These websites give you a general and impersonal view about restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. You can read through to get some ideas.

3. Follow the crowd
Another tip when choosing restaurant in HCMC is to follow the crowd. The word of mouth is a powerful way of transmitting information. So if you go around the city and see an old restaurant that catches your eyes, don’t underestimate it because you could taste the most delicious there.

In Vietnam, when a restaurant thrives out of a cuisines, its neighbour will surely join to have side profits. Phu quoc Island Vietnam
Phu Quoc is also called the Emerald Island because of its natural treasures and infinite tourism potential. The island is well known for its high-quality fish sauce; Phu Quoc fish sauce smells particularly good since it is made from a small fish, ca com, with a high level of protein. The island produces 6 million liters of fish sauce every year.
Phu Quoc Island has many harbors such as An Thoi and Hon Thom where international and domestic ships anchor. Also, there are several historical sites on the island: National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc's military base, King Gia Long relics from the time he spent on the island, and Phu Quoc Prison.
Off the coast of the island emerges a group of 105 islands of all sizes. Some of them are densely inhabited such as Hon Tre and Kien Hai, 25km from Rach Gia. Visitors can spend time on the beach or hike while observing the wild animals.

Lăng Cô Bay (Vịnh Lăng Cô)

Reached more than 1,000 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, I came up with Lang Co town on a hot sunny afternoon. With its curved white sand beach located on clear blue sea waters clear, undulating mountains, Lang Co Bay is a picture wearing exotic. It is one of beautiful Vietnam Popular Destinations which you guys can not miss when visit Vietanam.

There is no word or sentences can express all the beauty here. Nearly 100 years ago, King Khai Dinh after 4 months on the throne, the king dwells to Quang Nam considered customary, on the road, the King rest stop at Lang Co for some time, to discover the sheer beauty of the scenery here, he exclaimed: "it is a lively paradise" and carved stone praised today preserved in East An Cu village.

The stone still keep the writing: "In June of the first summer (August / 1916) the new throne stations (1916), on the opportunity to this province to look at customs, passingmountain and river and looking around carefully and suddenly seeing this place.

This land near to Phu Gia Mountain which also is one of Vietnam Popular Destinations, it has a reef sand, ocean, river flows around the land. On the South is Hai Van Quan, on the north it connects with the Canh Duong seaport. Looking straight to the mountain and you may see the clouds rising from burrows, as the young fairies dance in hold; looked into the water, the wind in the ancient sea, as all adoration of horses. Then now looking out in all four directions, the soft wind and fresh air can help you relax. Immerse looked for a long time, the heat seemed to be vanish, hearts feel cheerfully dished out.

Lang Co Bay which is one of Vietnam Popular Destinations; is recognized as beautiful bay in the world, it is the fantastic combining between sea and mountain. Lang Co is located acres between shunts of Truong Son crashed into the sea, between the Hai Van Pass and Phu Gia Pass, so far as Bach Ma Mountain hidden in fog. Lang Co Beach gentle and quiet as the name of it, the wave’s also gentle surf to the yellow sand.

Jelly Fish Noodles in Nha Trang City (Vietnamese Street Food)

When mention to Nha Trang city, the diners who are looking for the special food will not forget talking about one special Vietnamese Street Food there. It is Jelly fish noodles (Bún sứa). Make sure you will not miss this dish when visit this city with your family and friends.

Even Jellyfish noodles is Vietnamese Street Food and is sold popularly on the street, it is hard to prepare and making. The broth of jellyfish noodles has a bold Middle of Vietnam’s culture. To make one broth bowl, the cookers will extract the water from the fish like tuna, pork and “Mắm ruốc”. The main ingredient of making this noodle is absolutely jellyfish. This jellyfish is totally different the jellyfish that make itching us. So you do not need to worry about it could negative affect you. To catch this jellyfish, the fishermen have to go a long distant to take it. They usually call them are “Foot jellyfish” to distinguish with others. After catching them, the fishermen will clean them; they will turn their color from white to nice purple blue. Then they use the acrid in the guava to clean them again.

Similarity with other noodles, you have to add the clean and fresh vegetables when eating it. This Vietnamese Street Food is more delicious, if you have salad, herbs. Moreover, one of special thing that you cannot forget is chilies. It is one main ingredient of Middles’ Vietnamese. They never ever take the chilies out of their meal in once time. The different of this noodle depends on the ingredients which follow the cookers. Some of restaurant on Phan Boi Chau Street provide one colorful jellyfish noodle which includes more crab, shrimp and pork. On the other hand, the restaurant at the corner between Bà Triệu Street and Yersin Street is quite simple. It only has tuna and jellyfish.
