Oceania Regatta

It was a lovely day with Mr. and Mrs. Reed! The weather was perfect for an excursion. We kicked off our trip at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, then strolled by the Opera House and Book Street to see the old French architecture.

Next, we visited Book Street and Dai Viet Lacquerware, showcasing the Vietnamese love for books and art.

After a decent lunch, we headed to the War Remnants Museum. Our next stop was Ben Thanh Market, where you can find just about anything. We wrapped up our Saigon adventure at a Chinese-Vietnamese temple in District 5.

And with that, the 24/25 cruise season comes to an end. Looking forward to a more successful 25/26 season!

We started off at the Nguyen Hue Walking Street to see the City Hall, Ho Chi Minh statue and the Opera House. Post Office was next to complete the French building collection in District 1. Notre Dame unfortunately won’t be open soon.

The journey continues with the Book Street and Lacquerware shop. It was amazing seeing artists show off their craftsmanship!

Everyone went for shopping at the Ben Thanh market before finalizing the trip at the Jade Emperor Pagoda. The weather wasn’t too sunny and it didn’t rain during monsoon season so that’s nice!

Last ocean cruise ship of the season!

It was a pleasure to host a wonderful group from AIDA as the cruise ship season draws to a close.

Our day began in District 5, home to the Chinese-Vietnamese community. We experienced the community spirit at Binh Tay Market and Nhi Phu Temple.

In the afternoon, we walked around Disrtrict 1 to explore the iconic destinations of the city before heading to Landmark for shopping time.

Overall, it was a nice wrap to end the season! 😄

Anthem of the Seas

It was such a refreshing trip with new places for me! It’s always a nice feeling to get to know new spots.

We started off with Bánh Mì Huỳnh Hoa, a popular Bánh Mì spot. The fillings were so packed with creamy paté and thick layers of meat that it took two us just to finish one portion🥖. We enjoyed it in a cozy coffee shop at the Cafe Apartment.

The trip continued with some "warm" walking (umbrellas were helpful under the Saigon sun). Michelle and Brannon took some time to write postcards at the Post Office, and we visited Book Street next to it. The lacquerware store was next, where craftsmanship and artistry were on full display. They had lots of ground coffee varieties there too.

Next up was lunch at a Michelin Guide restaurant - Phở Việt Nam. It was amazing! After that, we spent some time at Ben Thanh Market before moving on to our final spot - Landmark 81.

The view from high above was breathtaking, and we even did the walk-on-the-glass thing! Before heading back, we paid a visit to the Anta store, which was basically a mini Kyrie world, lol. It was so much fun for Brannon 🏀 (and me too).

It was an absolutely enjoyable trip. I felt like I was discovering the city all over again 😆. Thank you, Michelle and Brannon - you guys are amazing!

To finish off the day, we spent some time shopping at Landmark 81.

It was a short trip but we get to see a lot!

Happy International Women’s Day! 🥳🌹💁‍♀️

Today is special for many reasons. Not only is it Women’s Day, but it also marks the Ao Dai Festival, celebrating Vietnam’s traditional costume. It was such a vibrant scene, with young Vietnamese showcasing stunning outfits from different eras.

Lunch was amazing with delicious food served promptly. Afterward, we went to the War Remnants Museum where raw images of the past can be seen.

Next, we explored Ben Thanh Market. The market was bustling with countless stalls, each offering a unique array of goods. Our lovely day concluded at the Landmark 81 with a stunning view of the city from above.

Wishing all the incredible women a wonderful Women’s Day! You truly deserve the best 🥰🫶

The first time I covered 3 Districts in 1 trip 💪

Our journey began in District 5, an area known for the Chinese-Vietnamese community. Binh Tay Market was bustling with wholesale stores and hardworking vendors, while the local temple served as a stronghold for community bonding.

After savoring delicious Vietnamese lunch, we explore District 1 attractions on foot. The weather was “a bit” hot but luckily we have shades from the tall buildings.

We wrapped up our adventure at Landmark 81, the tallest building in Vietnam, where we enjoyed a panoramic view of Saigon. The weather was absolutely perfect, with bright sunshine and a clear blue sky - the ideal way to conclude our trip 😄

A fun day with a lot of engaging conversations 😆

I had the pleasure of accompanying Jason and Jana around Saigon. After exploring all the floors in Cafe Apartment, we had some wonderful conversations over coffee. The atmosphere was so nice, with rich aroma of coffee filling the air ☕️.

We had lunch with “Vietnamese pizza” - bánh xèo and other traditional Vietnamese dishes. The food not only looked incredible but tasted amazing as well 🤩

Our trip wrapped up in District 5, home to the vibrant Chinese-Vietnamese community. We visited a beautiful temple and Binh Tay Market, known for its bustling shops that sell in bulk, with every type of product that you can think of. The merchants here are some of the hardest-working individuals that I know.

Thank you Jason and Jana. It was a joy showing you the city of Saigon ☺️

What a mesmerizing trip!

The first destination was Ben Thanh Market - an over 100-year-old market. Our new friends learned how to bargain in Vietnam for the first time. They enjoyed purchasing new bags and jerseys for their sons and relatives.

The next stop was Nguyen Hue Walking street. We stopped by there for a couple of minutes to take some pictures and then went to the Cafe Apartment to have a quick look-around.

After that, we went through the Notre-Dame cathedral, the Post Office and stopped at a restaurant to have lunch. We all enjoyed our lunch very much!

We next moved to District 5 to see Lantern street and paid a visit to a Chinese pagoda.

Our last stop of the itinerary was Binh Tan market. On the way home, we luckily met a parade of dragon dances to celebrate the God of Fortune’s day.
