Have some midnight cravings? Fortunately, you're in Ho Chi Minh City, the city that never sleeps. You can spot a local vendor just a couple of footsteps away, and some of them are also always on the go with their push carts. A late night snacks such as grilled chicken egg (hot ga nuong) or stir-fried corns (bap xao) only costs around VND 20,000 (~USD 1)

Despite having a humble land territory, Vietnam has an extensive coastline with mostly warm currents, resulting in an abundance of fresh tropical seafood. Long before the invention of modern food preservation arrived in Vietnam, the people had already mastered unique methods of storing not only produce but also fish and other harvests from the sea, which then can be made into various family meal dishes. Though the dried goods don't carry as many nutritional values as the fresh ones anymore, they are still a local favorite due to their convenience and distinct flavor.

Love the nature and climate in Da Lat but dread the tourist crowds? Fear not, the entire highlands region surrounding Da Lat shares similar atmosphere, not to mention the stunning untouched nature. Buon Ma Thuot, Dak Lak, and other mountainous provinces in the central don't receive the same hype as the infamous Da Lat, but you'll be pleasantly surprise at the raw beauty of nature here. The best thing yet, you don't have to be on a lookout for overly-packed places of attractions anymore. The cost of travel outside of Da Lat is significantly lower, and you'll get to enjoy the peaceful scenery all by yourself.

Some meals just cannot be enjoyed at home by ourselves. Hotpots are not just meant to mixing different ingerdients in the scrumptious broth, but also to bring friends and families together. Surely we can make some delicious hotpot on our own, but to gather with our beloved people makes the dining experience ten times more satisfying. Who else misses in-door dining at the moment?

Ho Chi Minh's streets have become so crowded again as many people are eager to venture outside. In-door dining is back, yet other entertainment services are not allowed to reopened. However, the good news is in the horizons. Soon, businesses considered "non-essentials" will be able to welcome customers again as part of the city's scheme to revive the economy. There are even plans to open the borders for foreign tourists as soon as June 2022! So hang in there, and stay safe, we will soon be able to get back on the roads again.
