👶 Vietnam introduces new child car safety rules.

We've looked into the new regulations and here's what we've found.

📌 Starting August 15, 2026, drivers transporting children under 10 years old and shorter than 135 cm must use an appropriate child restraint system (a child car seat or booster seat). During the initial enforcement period, drivers without one will receive an official warning instead of a fine.

The existing rule prohibiting children who meet these criteria from riding in the front passenger seat (if the vehicle has rear seats) already carries a fine of 800,000–1,000,000 VND. These new requirements are aimed at improving child safety and bringing Vietnam's road safety standards closer to international practice.

🚕 What about taxis? The requirement to use child restraint systems does not apply to commercial passenger transport, including taxis. However, if you're traveling around Vietnam in a rental car with children, it's a good idea to arrange a child car seat in advance.

💁🏼‍♀️ If you're traveling with a child,
we can provide and install a child car seat in the vehicle. This service is available upon request — just let us know in advance when booking.

If you have any questions, send us a DM — we'll be happy to help 💌

🛂 How to get a 90-day vietnam visa with VISARUNVIET: a step-by-step guide 👇

1️⃣ Contact & Booking
Message our manager with your nationality and let us know whether you're currently in Vietnam or outside the country. If you're in Vietnam, we'll ask for the date of your visa run. If you're outside Vietnam, we'll ask for: your planned entry date, when you last visited Vietnam. The cost of applying for a visa depends on these parameters.

2️⃣ Preparation of documents
To apply for your visa, we'll need:
1. Your contact details: email address and phone number.
2. A photo of your passport (full open spread showing both pages, with no fingers covering it).
3. A passport-style photo on a white background without glasses (a high-quality selfie is also acceptable).
4. Information about any previous violations of Vietnamese immigration laws (if you have none, simply let us know).
If you're currently outside Vietnam, please also send us a photo of your latest exit stamp from Vietnam together with your application. During the visa run, please send a photo of your exit stamp to the manager immediately after crossing the border.

3️⃣ Obtaining a visa
Once your visa is ready:
📩 you'll first receive an email from Vietnam Immigration;
📩 then you'll receive a confirmation email from our team.
Be sure to check your Spam, Promotions, and other email folders, as the messages may end up there.

4️⃣ Crossing the border
At most land border checkpoints and airports, it's enough to show your visa on your phone to the immigration officer.
❗️Exception: Moc Bai (applies to visa runs from Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, and Nha Trang to Cambodia). At this border crossing, officers always require a printed copy of your visa (you can print it near the checkpoint).

5️⃣ After entering Vietnam, make sure to check the date on your entry stamp.
Do not leave immigration until you've confirmed that the date in your passport matches your visa. If the error is discovered after a few days, it will be very difficult to fix it.

If you still have any questions, simply send us a direct message. We will provide consultation and help you complete the entire process as quickly and smoothly as possible

📅 Vietnam visa processing during the national holiday

In August, the working schedule of the Vietnam Immigration Department will change due to official public holidays:
🔴 Standard e-Visa processing will not be available on August 19 and from August 29 to September 2.
🟢 On Saturday, August 22, the Immigration Department will operate as usual.

🚌 Our trips will operate as scheduled. However, during the holiday period, we'll be doing border runs only, not e-Visa runs (see our August departure schedule).

🛂 If you need an e-Visa specifically on August 19 or between August 29 and September 2, we can arrange it through the duty immigration officer:
✅ 90-day single-entry visa
💰 3,600,000 ₫;
➕ 90-day multiple-entry visa
💰 +700,000 ₫ (on top of the single-entry visa price);
⚡ expedited processing for an already submitted e-Visa application
💰 3,000,000 ₫;
⏱️ same-day approval by 5:00 PM if your documents are submitted by 3:30 PM.

This special rate applies while the standard e-Visa application process is unavailable.
Regular e-Visa applications with the standard 3-working-day processing time, submitted between August 29 and September 2, will only be approved by September 8.

💬 If you need a visa urgently, it's best to arrange it now. Slots for processing through the duty immigration officer fill up quickly during the holiday period.

🐾 Pets on a visa run: can you bring your pet along?

We get this question all the time — and we completely understand why. For many people, a dog or cat is a beloved member of the family 😊

Unfortunately, we can't take passengers with pets on our group visa runs because Vietnamese transport companies don't allow animals on shared transfers. Even if your pet is tiny, super calm, or absolutely adorable 🐹🐱🐶

If you don't have anyone to look after your pet while you're away, there are plenty of options in Vietnam. You can book a pet sitter, leave your furry friend at a pet hotel, or ask friends or family to help while you're on your trip.

But if you don't want to spend even a single day apart from your four-legged companion, we can arrange a private visa run 🚗

We'll pick you up together with your pet, wait at the border, and take you back home afterward. Not a minute apart from your best friend! ❤️

💡 If you're traveling with a dog or cat, we recommend bringing your pet's vaccination passport. It's rarely requested in practice, but it's always better to have it with you.

Wherever you're located in Vietnam, a private visa run can be arranged. Send us a DM for a personalized quote 💬

Vietnam doesn’t let you go that easily 😄

It’s the kind of place where you want to stay longer,
slow down, and actually enjoy life.

And sometimes one visa run turns into… a tradition 🤍

🇻🇳 Here’s an up-to-date guide to the current visa categories and who they are legally intended for.

Starting July 1, 2026, two new visa categories were introduced into Vietnam’s immigration system. However, one thing remains clear: for most people, there are still only two realistically accessible visa options.

🧑🏻‍💼 Diplomatic visas (NG1–NG4) are issued to official delegations, diplomats, and members of international missions.
🕵🏽‍♂️ Work and business visas (LV1, LV2, LS, ĐT1–ĐT4, DN1, DN2, LĐ1, LĐ2) are intended for individuals working with government agencies, foreign lawyers, investors, and individuals employed by Vietnamese companies.
🧑🏼‍🏫 Student and media visas (DH, HN, PV1, PV2) are issued to students and interns, conference participants, and journalists.
👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏻 Family visas (TT, VR) are available for spouses and children of holders of work and business visas, as well as for people visiting relatives in Vietnam.
🗽 Expert visas (UĐ1, UĐ2) are the much-discussed new visas that came into effect on July 1. They are designed for highly qualified IT professionals, scientists, and their family members. Their purpose is to attract world-class specialists to Vietnam and they are not intended for regular expats or digital nomads. These visas are processed through ministerial approval requests—visa agencies cannot arrange them.
🗺️ Tourist visas (DL, EV/e-visa) are the only visa types that can be obtained without an invitation from an organization.

⚠️ All of the visa categories listed above, except for the e-visa and visa-free entry (for citizens of countries that have visa exemption agreements with Vietnam), require an invitation from an organization, as well as documents confirming employment, investment, or official status. In practice, it is nearly impossible to obtain these visas on your own without an employer, an investment project, or sponsorship from an eligible organization.

📌 Our agency is one of the largest visa agencies in Vietnam. We can help you obtain your e-visa quickly, accurately, and with full support throughout the entire process.

📩 Message us via DM for a consultation or to start your application.
