This is why I’m finding it hard to stick to a diet while I’m travelling in Vietnam. I don’t want to know how many calories are in my favourite iced Coconut coffee or iced tea and juice drinks like this non alcoholic Passionfruit Mojito but resistance is futile when the delicious drinks look and taste this good and the atmosphere is super chill like at Caleen Premium Coffee in Nha Trang.

Funny, at home I never eat sandwiches yet here in Vietnam, they are a regular thing especially a “premium” version in a cafe like Dalky Kafe in the expat An Thong zone of Danang (cost about 50k = $2.50 Cdn). Dalky Kafe makes a crazy good iced coconut coffee also. 👍👍

Another day in Vietnam, another cup of coffee. One issue with staying in a hotel longterm when travelling is you need to leave the room for housekeeping. This is my excuse to eat a croissant or other not-diet-friendly pastry and drink a fancy drink in air conditioned comfort. Today’s cafe choice is Highlands - Vietnamese coffee chain similar to Starbucks. Busy since it’s still Tet holiday but with access to power and WiFi for my laptop. A good hangout for a few hours.

Rainy day today in Hanoi Vietnam. So we opted instead for a relaxing morning in a cute cafe for Saigon coffee (strong coffee with lots of milk) blueberry danish, and of course the special egg coffee made with whipped egg yolk (tastes like tiramisu). Creamy comforting and quiet for a Sunday morning.

Uber/Lyft travel tip. I always check the price for a scheduled ride prior to my trip in the phone app but don’t book it. Without fail the morning of my travel date the app always sends me a discount. Works every time and today i received 5$ off.

Bonus tip: Lyft is always cheaper.

Great Bay Beach in Phillipsburg St Martin (Sint Maarten). A quick 15 minute walk from the cruise port and our ship the Caribbean Princess. Don’t want to walk? Take a water taxi (7$US return).

View of Roseau Dominica from our Caribbean Princess Ship. Lucky Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Sea got the prime cruise port so it was a 20 minute walk to town for us from the north port.
