Ninh Binh was not part of our original itinerary, but there were a lot who recommended this place. I still wish we had more time for Halong Bay, but for those corporate employees like me — you know how it is.
So, our journey going here was not like what we expected at all. We were asked to join a bus full of locals on a tour. Upon knowing this, I was so disappointed. I honestly thought it was going to be a terrible day specially when there was a tourist guide in the middle of the bus with a mic talking nonstop in a language I don't understand.
I did what I do best during land travels, I slept.😂🙈 The English tour guide, who I appreciated, for trying hard to explain everything to us, woke me up and told us that we have arrived at our first stop.
I wasn't too thrilled about getting down the bus, but after walking for a few minutes, my excitement slowly came back and after the end of the whole tour, I was really contented and happy.
Give every place a chance, no matter how bad your first experience with it is.
