What a lovely day we had on Friday for our 2025 Open Day!

Our team welcomed over 130 guests through the doors of our Kintore HQ for an event that showcased our people, products and services.

It’s a milestone day for team Brimmond! 🤝

📢We are very proud to share the exciting news of our expansion into the Middle East! 📢

We have launched our new Middle East division, which will be based in Dubai’s DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre).

Partnering with Proserv, we’re set to deliver enhanced support and solutions to customers throughout the Middle East. Combining our engineering excellence with Proserv’s strong regional presence and established network.

Our team have been working hard to design, manufacture and mobilise a £1 million range of Hydraulic Pressure Units (HPUs) and umbilical reelers. Built to our usual rigorous standards at our Aberdeenshire HQ for rental across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman from July onwards.

Our MD Tom Murdoch said:

“This is one of the most exciting times for Brimmond in our near 30-year history – we are thrilled to expand our global footprint and partner with such a leading brand in the energy sector as Proserv. Following a period of sustained growth in the UK, we now have capacity in the business to deliver on our plans in the Middle East, and we’re looking forward to sharing our high quality equipment and services with customers across the Middle East.”

Team Brimmond take on the Mighty Stride for Kiltwalk 2025

They say that if you don’t like the weather in Scotland, wait half an hour and it will change!

Our intrepid team members at this weekend’s The Kiltwalk could certainly relate to this! ⛈️😎They encountered rain, hail, thunder and lightning, interspersed with spells of glorious sunshine during the 18-mile walk from Banchory to Duthie Park in the city centre.

Euan Watson, Mike Duncan, Keith Ross and Sophie Anderson’s sterling efforts have raised a whopping £420 for Brimmond’s partner charity, Charlie House HQ. The charity supports children and young people living with a life-limiting condition, and their families, across the North-east.

Team Brimmond get into their stride at Run Garioch!
A huge well done to our amazing team who took on Run Garioch on Sunday, in the scorching 20°C heat! 🔥🏃‍♀️

As proud sponsors of the event, we were delighted to have six Brimmond runners representing us across the 10K and Half Marathon. Despite the heat, everyone gave it their all and crossed the finish line!

Not only did Glenn run a 10K, he ran it wearing a dinosaur costume!! 🦖😆

His 'rexcellent' efforts were a roaring success, as he has already raised £1000 for our charity partners, Charlie House HQ! 🙌🏻

Seawork 2025 is around the corner!

It's that time of year again and we are on the countdown to the next Seawork exhibition.

Team Brimmond will be exhibiting at Europe's largest commercial marine and workboats on-water exhibition in Southampton from 10 -12 June, alongside our partners Heila Cranes SpA.

Brand new cranes in stock and rental packages available – from our North-East Scotland facility or Heila HQ in Italy.

Go behind the scenes as our Project Design Engineer, Mark Coutts shares the early stages of a crane refurbishment at Brimmond HQ. 🎥

With several marine cranes and ROV Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) currently undergoing full ‘as new’ overhauls, it’s shaping up to be another productive year for our skilled team.

We have the capabilities to carry out full mechanical stripdowns, detailed inspections and comprehensive renovations in order to extend asset lifespan and enhance overall performance and reliability.

When we say we pay attention to detail, we really mean it! 🤓

Take these two 37kW Safe Area Electric HPUs we’re currently building. They are for our own internal use, but we’re engineering them to the same exacting standards as we would any piece of equipment for our clients.

These versatile units can power hydraulic equipment or operate cranes via a wireless remote system for workshop crane refurbishments, inspections and testing.

Featuring standardised parts stocked at our HQ, they are housed in durable Brimmond-designed crash frames. To distinguish them from our hire fleet, the frames are finished in anthracite grey.

We’re planning to paint the components in one of the following colourways. The question is, do we stick with our Brimmond red, or play homage to the changing seasons with a sunny yellow vibe? 🤔

We are very proud of every piece of equipment that leaves our state-of-the-art workshop, and our wide range of Diesel and Electric HPUs are no exception.

- Available for rental or purchase.
- Our HPUs come as standard or can be designed and built to your requirements.
- With power ranges from 18kW to 2MW our diesel, electric and pneumatically powered units can either be permanently installed or transportable where required.
- Pressure ranges from 50 Bar to 420 Bar and flow from 25lpm to 4000lpm.
- Available as basic open frame designs up to fully enclosed units with acoustic lining.
- Our units are available with DNV certification.
- Safe Area, ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2.

Our NetJet™ has successfully completed further trials in conjunction with AKVA group - Norge 🐟

Our industry-leading net-cleaning pump was recently deployed to Loch Fyne for an extended 60-day trial.

We were thrilled to receive fantastic feedback from our client following this latest trial.

Don Fowler, Commercial Manager at AKVA Group Scotland said:
