There's something magical about how one sip of whisky can transport you to your granny's kitchen or how the nose can evoke the smell of a new pair of leather shoes. Everyone’s experience of the ‘water of life’ is uniquely their own, because with whisky, the flavour comes as much from the craft of the distiller as from the heart of the one who sips it. It's equal parts science and passion, where centuries-old traditions meet master craftsmanship.

Dewar's Aberfeldy Distillery sits nestled in the heart of Perthshire, where Scotland's liquid gold in every dram tells a tale of Scottish heritage. This year marks 25 years of Dewar's award-winning visitor centre.

Here's where Rabbie’s comes in. Scotland takes its drink-driving seriously, so if you want to truly savour the tasting experience without worrying about the journey home, let us handle the driving while you enjoy every sip. Slàinte! 🎉

Scotty's back with a story that'll make you rethink everything you know about Outlander! Ever wondered where the phrase "laughing your head off" actually comes from? Turns out it's got a pretty dark Scottish twist involving Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat, the last man to be executed by beheading in Britain.

Do you think the story of Lord Lovat's dark sense of humour is true... or just a well-loved urban legend? 👀

Achmelvich Bay is one of those places that stops you in your tracks. Tucked away on Scotland’s North Coast 500 with perfect white sands and turquoise waters, it's the kind of place that makes you forget about everything else.

But our local driver guides have a secret - there's another little beach known colloquially as Vestey's Beach just beyond those rocks. It's a bit of a scramble to get there but if you're feeling adventurous and up to it, the views are worth it!

5 simple ways to be a responsible tourist in Scotland 💙⛰️

• Eat local – Enjoy fresh, traditional Scottish produce while supporting family-run cafés, pubs, and restaurants.

• Leave no trace – Take only photos with you and leave no litter behind, helping to preserve Scotland’s landscapes for future visitors and wildlife.

• Carry cash for honesty boxes – Many rural spots sell homemade goods using unmanned "honesty boxes," so having cash helps you support local makers or contribute to local facilities such as comfort break spots.

• Shop local – Choose souvenirs and gifts from locally run shops to help sustain Scottish communities and makers.

• Don’t bother the animals – Admire from a distance without feeding or disturbing them, especially in nesting and lambing seasons.

On World Nature Conservation Day, let’s remember that we all play a part in protecting our incredible landscapes and wildlife, for future generations. Small actions make a big difference in our natural world but can also sustain local cultural and heritage!

Most people drive right past this place without knowing what they're missing ⛪️📍

This is Beauly Priory in the village of Beauly, standing strong for 800 years yet hardly anyone stops to explore it. These ancient walls hold centuries of secrets, and it's beautiful yet haunting, to think about the Vallisculian monks that once walked these church grounds.

We're here to show you the real Scotland that exists between the guidebook pages, like a village with a forgotten priory and the best macaroni pies in Scotland!

From the big city to Bibury 🌿 The London heat was getting to us, so we jumped on a Rabbie's tour to the Cotswolds for some countryside therapy. Bibury felt like a postcard, Burford's church took our breath away, and we discovered the quirkiest little brush shop!...

Can't make it to the Scottish Highlands but desperate to meet a Highland cow? Glasgow's got you covered! 🐄

Head to Pollok Country Park, the city's largest green space where you will find the famous Pollok Fold grazing just like they have for nearly 200 years! The Maxwell family originally brought these shaggy beauties down from the Highlands to help manage the clay-heavy ground that was too tough for crops. These coos are instantly recognisable with their magnificent horns and thick coats that come in everything from classic black to ginger, blonde, and white.

Don't visit Glen Affric unless you're prepared for ancient Caledonian pines, waterfalls around every bend, untouched natural beauty and the kind of peace where you can finally hear your own thoughts 🌲💭

Rabbie’s Story

Robin Worsnop started our tour company in 1993. All he had was an old sherpa van and a few people telling him it would never work. These days, Robin likes to think he started the company because he ‘saw a gap in the market’, ‘wanted to create an ethical way to travel’, and ‘knew what independent travellers wanted’. But we know the truth. He simply wanted to spend his time travelling around gorgeous places, discovering his homeland, and enjoying a dram with friendly faces from around the globe. And he might have carried on doing this forever. But there was a gap in the market; he had created an ethical way to travel, and he showed people a really, really good time. So, people started to talk about Robin’s quirky tours. They sold out and Robin had to hire more people, buy more mini-coaches, start working with spreadsheets, and concentrate on building the company, so more people could live his dream. And after years of building, we now we have award-winning small group tours departing from across the UK and Europe. Sadly, Robin is too busy to see all these gorgeous places as much as our guides. But he’s happy others are now getting to see the places he loved in the way he loved seeing them.
