We a great time sailing on the Disney Wish! It’s hard to beat all of the activities, food, and entertainment offered on a Disney cruise. At Nassau we walked to the public beach and explored the pirate museum before heading back to the ship for a late lunch and character photos before getting ready for pirate night. At Disney’s private island Castaway Cay, the boys snorkeled and played on the beach. We also rented bikes to ride around the island. Our day at sea was filled with foosball, air hockey, character drawing, a ship tour, a ride on the AquaMouse, a movie on the pool deck, and lots of ice cream! The nightly shows and dining room entertainment were excellent, and everything we ate in the restaurants, at the buffet, and on the pool deck was so good! 4 nights wasn’t long enough, and we can’t wait to go on another one!

Disney’s newest island destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas is beautiful! 😍 Not all itineraries stop here, but some include Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay! 🏝️ ☀️ No matter which destination you choose, you’ll have a blast cruising with Disney. We enjoyed every minute of our Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver! We stopped at Sitka, Juneau, and Icy Strait Point, and cruised through Tracy Arm Fjord to see Sawyer glacier. We had beautiful weather in Icy Strait Point and while viewing the glacier! We saw orca whales and humpback whales from our balcony and had an amazing humpback whale excursion in Icy Strait Point. In Juneau, we rented a car and visited Mendenhall glacier, Nugget Falls, a salmon hatchery, and ended the night at a salmon bake where we enjoyed fresh salmon grilled over an open flame, live music, and panning for gold. Alaska was beautiful, and we’d love to go back and explore more areas!

After finishing up our tour around the Olympic Peninsula, we spent a night in Seattle before taking a train ride to Vancouver. We had only the afternoon to enjoy Pike Place Market, but that was plenty of time to try the clam chowder and salmon, buy some magic tricks, see them throw the fish around, and visit the first Starbucks store!

Olympic National Park in Washington was amazing! We explored Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls, Hoh Rainforest, The Tree of Life, Ruby Beach, and Rialto Beach! We even had time to check out some Twilight memorabilia at the Forks, WA visitor center next to our cabin. Next stop, Seattle!

Disney Love

I’ve always liked Disney movies and characters, but my love of Disney began after taking my three boys to Walt Disney World when they were 6 months, 2 years old, and 3 years old. The trip itself wasn’t even all that “magical” considering we wrangled with two toddlers and a baby over long, hot days in the parks. Once we were back at home, the older two boys played “Disney World” and pretended to ride the airplane there and then rode their favorite rides at the parks. The oldest even packed a suitcase for himself that he kept ready for months waiting to go back.❤️ It still warms my heart to remember all of their pretend Disney play! Since that first trip a few years ago, I became a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, and I have gone many times (with the whole family, with just my husband, with my family and my parents, and even a girls’ trip with my college roommate!), and our love for all things Disney deepens with each trip.
