I’ve been planning a moms’ getaway for a while now, and I’ve tailored the idea into a one-night stay at a local hotel, understanding that extended time away can be challenging.

There’s no set schedule, bedtime, or early wake-up — unless that’s what you want! It’s simply a tranquil night to do whatever you please, whenever you feel like it. And, of course, there’s pool time where you only have to worry about reapplying sunscreen for yourself.

December and January tend to be slower for travel outside of the holidays but quite busy for future planning. Where did clients travel in December and where are they headed this month?

Resolutions and goals have never worked for me, especially with my anxiety. But this Type A Capricorn needed something to strive for, which is why a few years ago, I created the concept of a Word of the Year. Every January, I search within myself for a word that feels pressing on my heart. Last year, the word was patience—and let me tell you, it was no easy feat. However, by the Fall, I experienced a sense of relief I’ve never felt before once I let go and truly embraced being patient. I’m by no means perfect and I fail… a lot, but having the word constantly in my mind helps more than I ever expected.

I actually discovered my word for 2025 at the beginning of December, and I knew right away that I needed it. Here’s to a new year focused on becoming better by listening more than I speak. Let’s see how this goes! :)
