Para los Inkas el solsticio de Invierno (Junio 21), marcaba el inicio de un nuevo ciclo agrícola, religioso, social y político, o lo que llamaríamos hoy en día año nuevo. Existen innumerables observatorios astronómicos Inkas que determinaban con exactitud esta fecha, uno de ellos el llamado templo al sol de Machupicchu. 🌞

Te imaginas hacer turismo y no poder ver? 👀👨🏻‍🦯‍➡️

El Turismo es una actividad de disfrute o placer que en gran medida se basa en contemplar visualmente monumentos o paisajes, ¿pero que hay de las personas que no pueden ver?.

El último 28 de Diciembre Kawsay Peru Travel organizó un viaje para personas invidentes miembros de la UCRI (Unión de ciegos de la Región Inka), visitando los atractivos mas importantes de la ciudad, siendo este un gran reto pues debíamos valernos de otros recursos (principalmente escucha y tacto) para crear experiencia en nuestros visitantes.

En solo una mañana nos encontramos con muchas dificultades y barreras, desde ausencia de barandas, señalética, accesos fáciles, y otros para visitantes con limitación visual. Quizás la carencia principal de nuestros atractivos y que en muchos países esta bien implementado son las Maquetas Hápticas o modelos 3D con los cuales personas ciegas “sientan” táctil y auditivamente estos atractivos, La Alhambra (España) o las cataratas de Iguazu (Argentina) los tienen.

Finalmente, llamamos a todos a la reflexión (involucrados o no en turismo), y entender que existen personas con los mismas necesidades que nosotros pero que no tienen las mismas facultades o facilidades para satisfacerlas, particularmente la necesidad de ocio o hacer turismo.

Como empresa con propósito nos comprometemos contribuir a un turismo mas inclusivo y más accesible para todos💪🏽😊🤝
