"We really enjoyed our stay here! Super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The area is super remote and super quiet. It’s a great get away. There is very little cell service along most of the northern coastline, but they had great WiFi at the house. Loved how everything was labeled in the home, soap, shampoo and conditioner was stocked. Linens were clean. They had fun games, a gaming console and old VHSs and DVDs. We saw a ton of wildlife around the outside of the house including a black bear one night! Just a great little spot to retreat to. Just be aware that it is a 45 minute drive in from the main road. There is not much around so pack in what you need. Black Sands Beach is not a beach to be in the water in because of the riptides. So just be aware of that too. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get just away." -Erika (booked thru VRBO)

"Finding The Lost Coast is something everyone should do. Had it not been for this incredible home and the games and family friendly atmosphere our amazing hosts provided, we might never have found Shelter Cove! The perfect place for our annual family summer birthday trip, we ended up having the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. The family game room and lawn games, as well as the beach equipment made this home one of our favorites as a family. The VHS player was so fun to share with the kids.
