Periwinkle on the River Periwinkle cottage is on the Little Wicomico River in the Northern Neck (NNK) Virginia.

A couple weeks back, had a two eagles and some gulls fishing close to the pier.

NNK Electric are some true professionals. Showed up to pull this old light pole from the 70's out of the middle of one of our beautiful crepe myrtles in mid bloom. Did a stellar job, didn't see a blossom on the ground when finished.

I have spent the entire summer trying to catch one of these jumping fish, to confirm an ID on them. Could have been gizz...

I have spent the entire summer trying to catch one of these jumping fish, to confirm an ID on them. Could have been gizzard shad to jumping mullet. They've been hauntingly everywhere, but uncatchable...until today 😏 I can confirm mullet, and 16-17" striped mullet (aka jumping mullet), and 3-4lbs. They are on the large size.
