Churro waffle day has grown quite famous on Disney Cruise Line. Did you know that if you have , you can get an allergy friendly version of these made?

I finally tried these on my last cruise for the first time! I loved the flavor, and the crunchiness since they are fried, but mine were inconsistent in their consistency. One was lighter and more fluffy while the other was super dense. I will give them a shot on my next just to see if they’re any better. What has your experience been with these?

Want to enjoy Disney Springs with lower crowd levels? Go on a weekday morning!

gets crowded on weekends, and in the late afternoon/evening as people are winding down from the parks and looking for a great place for some dinner and evening entertainment. If you arrive in the morning or around lunch on a weekday, you will be able to walk around and experience the area more without shoulder to shoulder guests! You might even be able to snag a seat at one of those restaurants you’ve been wanting to try as a walk up!

Part 2 of our is up on the channel now! The days at sea started a little rough, but we also got to do a little exploring in Tortola, which was SO pretty! 😍 Hope you enjoy!

Disney Treasure Cruise Part 2: 2 Days at Sea & Tortola Exploration | March 2025

We spent days 2 and 3 of this cruise at sea. It was a little bit rocky, so we didn't vlog much, but did take a little time to review our experience and food ...

✨Allergy Friendly Dining on the Disney Treasure: Nights 5-7✨

🎩 Night 5 was back at 1923 for lobster night! I was super excited for this menu. My appetizer was a potato gnocchi in a sweet pea sauce. On the menu, this was supposed to have pancetta and mushrooms, so I was disappointed that it did not. The lobster was pretty good, especially with the clarified butter that they brought to drizzle over. My dessert was a sticky date pudding, and unfortunately this was the worst dessert that I had. It was extremely dry and did not taste like a sticky date pudding at all.

🦸 Night 6 was at Worlds of Marvel for trivia night. This was a really good meal! My appetizer was slices of spiced tuna and it was delicious, and a little spicy! My main was a rack of lamb. Although all of the traditional spices were left off, it was still absolutely delicious! Dessert was a warm apple rice pudding and I loved this. The crumble made it a little sweet and salty, and perfect!

🇲🇽 Night 7 ended where we began, back at Coco. My appetizer was chicken tortilla soup, which was ok. It was seasoned well but kind of reminded me of warm salsa. The entree was pork carnitas. I could not eat the tortillas as they were like cardboard, and the pork was slightly dry, but the flavor was really good. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake and it was fine!

I believe all of the dessert cakes were made with Namaste cake mix this sailing, which is pretty tasty! This concludes my allergy menu dining series for this cruise! In the future, I will probably try to order more dishes from the main menu fitted to my specific needs (no gluten/eggs). But having separate allergy menus is great, especially for the desserts!

What did you see that you want to try on your next sailing?

✨Allergy Friendly Dining on the Disney Treasure: Palo Steakhouse Dinner✨

This was my first time doing dinner instead of brunch at this adults-only dining establishment that is located on all Disney Cruise Line ships (the steakhouse designation is on Triton Class ships only). I was not disappointed in the options and the food quality here, it was the best food I ate on the cruise by far!

🥖 For bread service, they made allergy friendly pizza crust into slices for me to enjoy like bread. They could have used some seasonings on it, but even without any the flavor and texture was wonderful! I also received an amuse-bouche that was a fluffy little potato pillow in a mushroom gravy, and it was delightful!

🍅 For my appetizer, I got the burratta caprese. This had excellent flavor and was really well balanced with the tomatoes, which were more sweet than acidic, the creamy fresh burratta, and the balsamic & pesto. Although this was delicious, I would probably try something more unique next time.

🐟 For dinner, I got the Dover Sole, and WOW did this steal the show. This was one of the best pieces of fish I have had. It was meaty but delicate, and had a nice savory buttery flavor. The potatoes, spinach, and carrots on the side were also great and complimented the dish nicely. This is where I should also mention the wine. We spoke at length with the sommolier of the restaurant who made some excellent recommendations to pair with our meals. I had a Chardonnay that was perfect with the fish!

🍨 For dessert, my only option was a raspberry sorbet with berries. I would expect them to have more choices, but I love raspberry sorbet so I wasn’t too disappointed. I did ask if they had chocolate sauce and was told that I could not have it. However he surprised me with some after speaking with the chef and I was delighted 😁

This was an amazing meal, and I will dream about my fish for a long time. I think I still prefer brunch, though! It’s hard to beat the deal that brunch provides, ordering as much as you like for one price.

Do you prefer brunch or dinner at Palo?

✨Allergy Friendly Dining on the Disney Treasure: Nights 1-3✨

🇲🇽 Our first night was in Coco, which is a new dining experience to the DCL Fleet. This was actually the best meal of the whole cruise. I did not get an appetizer on this night, but the braised beef short rib was delicious and just falling apart. My only dessert option I was told was a mango sorbet, so that’s what I had. It was fine.

🎩 Our second night was in 1923. I pre-ordered my meal for the night (and continued to do so for the remainder of the cruise). For an appetizer, I had the potato gnocchi with a butternut squash sauce. It was ok, but I prefer salty and this was more on the sweet side. My entree was the filet. It was also just ok. We noticed through our table that everyone’s steaks were inconsistently cooked. My dessert was the highlight of this meal. I got an allergy friendly cookie brownie with frozen dessert on top and it was SO good. My husband, who has no food allergies enjoyed my dessert more than his!

🦸 Night 3 was dinner in Marvel. My appetizer was the marinated shrimp, which usually comes with a couple of accompaniments (which I have actually had before but they left them off this time). The shrimp were quite tasty and they were cooked just right where they weren’t too tough or anything. For an entree, I had a tuna steak. This was also very good, just not my personal flavor profile so I didn’t love it. But if you are a fan of tuna steaks, you should try it. For dessert, I had a triple berry chocolate cake type thing. When I ordered it, it called itself just chocolate but ended up being full of berries. It was good, but not as good as the cookie brownie from night 2.

One thing I learned during this cruise is that if I order off of the allergy menu, the dish will be made as it comes for all of the top 8 allergies, and not for mine specifically (gluten, egg). I understand why they do this, to make things more streamlined, but if you see something on the regular menu that you think could be made for you, always ask and they will try to accommodate!

✨Packing tips from my cruise prep✨

🧳 Roll your clothes! I don’t know how or why, but it makes them take up less space, or at least it makes it easier to fit them into your packing cubes… bringing me to my next point….

🧳 GET YOU SOME PACKING CUBES! I love these things! If you like to have your stuff organized, these are a game changer. You can also take them right out of your suitcase and slide them into drawers without having to individually unpack everything. I have 2 types, regular and compression. Each set comes with a few different sized bags, a laundry bag, and the regular pack also comes with a shoe bag! The compression bags don’t compress as well as plastic compression bags, but they do help a little with space in the suitcase.

💖 Bonus points if you also have a giant Cuddleez on your bed for when your husband isn’t home 😁

What are your favorite packing hacks?

Things I have tried so far at this year’s Festival of the Arts (my fav):

✨Boyd & Blair Blood Orange Cosmo- these come pre-mixed and are always potent, delicious, and allergy friendly!
✨Mushroom Risotto- another returning favorite that is always flavorful and filling. If you don’t love mushrooms, steer clear!
✨Carne Asada- again, a return dish (you can see most of what I went for so far are my tried and true favs) that has great flavor, but could stand to be a better cut of meat. I found the meat to be a little chewy.
✨Charred Octopus- finally, a new to me dish! This one was interesting… the flavor was ok but maybe not my fav, and the texture was fine. I think it could have stood to be a little warmer. If you get a super fresh batch, it’s probably pretty good!

Stay tuned as I make my return in a few days to try some different items!

Did you know that Oga’s Cantina in Hollywood Studios recently got a menu upgrade?

A lot of your classic favorites are still on the menu, but there are some delicious new additions! We recently went to check them out and ordered The Sylop, which is a mezcal drink, and the Corellian Spike Cold Brew, which is a coffee beverage with a sweet topper. Both of these were delicious! The Sylop was smokey and had a little bit of a kick as well as a little bit of sweetness, and the Cold Brew was strongly coffee flavored with an almost cream cheese tasting topping. I recommend getting a straw to mix the topping in for a balanced flavor throughout.

For food, my husband tried the new Thruster Roasted Bantha Flatbread, which was basically a chorizo and cheese flatbread. He said it was good, but lacking much cheese.

If you have food allergies like me, your mileage may vary here as they said that modifications to the dishes are no longer allowed. I did not eat anything here on this particular day, but the only thing for me with a gluten and egg allergy is the Batuu Bits, which have been on the menu for a while.

Have you tried the new menu additions yet? What was your favorite??
