A tough little walk today starting at Edale and heading up to Grindslow Knoll. I wasn’t expect a scramble up a rocky river! It seemed to go on forever but the views at the top were lovely! We did get a little bit sunburnt though!

Once again on foot but this route is popular with mountain bikers too. Starting from Ladybower we followed the reservoir then cut up through the woods and then enjoyed the views from the top of Win Hill.

Fish and chips in the sun! My friend at helped me with my deliveries today. On the way we collected some haddock and chips from the super busy Frymasters in Attercliffe and then ate it on the Five Weirs Walk. So good! 🐟

Super fun conference today with in Sheffield. It’s great to meet with providers from all around the country and to catch up with the CyclingUK team in person.

The conference was in Victoria Hall which i’d never been inside until now.

I don’t know why but I just love this little street. It’s just a car park for some trendy flats but the lights and murals make it very whimsical!

It can be found near the large Phlegm mural on Headford Street.

I love a good woodland walk. I’d recommend checking out Limb Brook near Whirlowbrook Hall for a short and pleasant walk. Also make sure you look at the Whinfell Quarry Gardens too.

I saw this unusual mural of Sheffield in Pho in Leopold Square. Also, the pho was excellent! They make the soup stock in this huge vat in the middle of the restaurant!

NEW VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

This year is going to be a busy one for us!

We have loads of exciting new things happening. In the spring we will be starting up a weekly evening session in Hillsborough Park as well as a fortnightly Saturday session. We will also be running twice weekly off-road cycling sessions at Parkwood Springs.

This means that we are in need of new volunteers. Please get in touch if you are interested and share with anyone you think would be interested.

Volunteer tasks include:
- Fitting people with cycles
- Cycling with people
- Signing people in to sessions
- Unloading cycles from container and packing away at the end of the session.

You would need to be able to commit to at least one session per week (approx 5hrs).

We can cover travel expenses and pay for your lunch and any training required.

I don’t think there are any cycle tours in Birmingham so I went for a wander. Cool bull at the train station. Apparently it moves.
