Sprinter Camper Van Blog I'm Kristen, and I've been doing van life since 2016. I've done it full-time, part-time, solo, with a partner, with pets, and now my son.

I run the van life blog called Bearfoot Theory, and I love sharing my van life tips to help you get on the road.

We've all been there. You're at a beautiful campsite enjoying the peace and quiet, only for someone to set up camp right next to you who has no concept of campsite etiquette. Blasting music till the wee hours, leaving their campfire smoldering, or letting their animals harass everyone.

Don't let that be you! Learn how to be a good campsite neighbor with these tips:

Afraid of how your family might react when you tell them you want to do van life?

Some of my family members were excited for me when I told them I was moving into a van. Others thought I was crazy, expressed concern for my safety, and tried to talk me out of it – especially since I started van life as a solo female.

What if I encountered weirdos? How would I make money and was I throwing away my career? What would happen if I didn’t like van life?

To help you prepare for a potentially difficult conversation, here are helpful tips on how to break the news (👇 link in comments)

Looking for the perfect camp table to bring along in your van? I really love this CGI Outdoor Slim Fold Cook Station.

It's awesome for cooking outdoors and has four shelfs for all of spices, utensils, etc. It folds down flat, and I love that you don't have to screw any legs in. This makes it really easy to set up.

I'm not a big RV Park person. I'd much rather stay at a free campsite off the grid away from people. However, since having a baby, the occasional stay at a paid campground offers access to amenities that makes van life a lot easier for us now.

This campground in Page, Arizona had spacious sites, modern bathrooms, a pool, hookups, fast wifi and more. Plus the views from our site were spectacular.

One of the most common questions I get about van life is about internet. How do I get WiFi when traveling, and is it expensive? I work from the road, so staying connected is essential to my ability to make money and maintain a career.

Even if you aren’t working remotely, van lifers rely on the internet for finding campsites, drinking water, showers, grocery stores, and more, and lack of reliable internet can make daily life in a van more difficult.

Starlink has become the clear front runner for getting wi-fi in a van, but if it's too expensive or you don't want to retrofit your rig to install it, here are all of the various options for getting internet in your van:
