The American Dream Is Broken—Time to Build a New One in Mexico

For so long, we were told that if we worked hard, we’d achieve stability, wealth, and success. But today, the reality in the U.S. tells a different story—rising costs, healthcare struggles, and a system that seems to work against us. A recent poll shows that only 36% of Americans still believe in the American Dream. If that dream is broken, why keep chasing it?

That’s why I chose to build a new dream in Mexico. Here, I’ve found a life that values time over hustle, community over isolation, and peace over constant stress. I’m not alone—more and more people are seeking a new way of living beyond the U.S. Whether it’s affordability, culture, or simply the desire for something different, Mexico offers an opportunity to redefine success on our terms.

Unfortunately, the regularization program has drastically changed as of March 13, 2025. It now only applies to individuals who have been illegally living in Mexico since 2023 or prior and have NEVER left the country of Mexico. So if you plan to visit and access this program, I suggest consulting a professional immigration attorney or consultant.

One thing I have Always said about Mexico is "The only consistent thing about Mexico is that it is Inconsistent".

How Do You Take Care of Yourself When You’re Doing It All?
As a single mom, an entrepreneur, and someone who relocated abroad, I’ve had to be intentional about my well-being. It’s easy to get caught up in the constant demands of motherhood, running a business, and adjusting to a new country—but I’ve learned that if I don’t prioritize myself, everything else suffers.

For me, self-care isn’t just spa days or vacations (though those are nice). It’s about creating daily habits that protect my peace and keep me grounded. It’s waking up early to center myself before the day starts, setting clear boundaries with my time, and allowing myself moments to rest without guilt. It’s building a supportive community, knowing when to ask for help, and remembering that I am just as important as the work I do for others.

Wellness isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. And as women, especially mothers, and entrepreneurs, we need to remind ourselves that we deserve care, too.
