Canada Immigration
Canada’s immigration plans have taken a surprising turn. The new plan, which covers 2025-2027, aims to pause population growth in the short term to achieve sustainable growth in the long term. The target for permanent residents has been decreased to 395,000 in 2025, 380,000 in 2026, and 365,000 in 2027. This reduction is intended to alleviate pressures on housing, infrastructure, and social services, allowing for more manageable growth.Key Focus Areas:- Economic Growth: The economic category will represent the largest proportion of admissions, reaching nearly 62% by 2027.- Francophone Communities: Targets for French-speaking permanent residents outside Quebec will increase to 8.5% in 2025, 9.5% in 2026, and 10% in 2027.- Temporary Residents: Targets for new temporary resident arrivals will be 673,650 in 2025, 516,600 in 2026, and 543,600 in 2027.These changes demonstrate the government’s commitment to responsible and sustainable immigration practices. By adjusting targets and focusing on key areas, Canada aims to support its economy and communities while ensuring a better quality of life for all residents.#canadapr #canada #canadajobs #settleincanada
