Where can you eat modern Thai cuisine in the middle of the ocean?

Dinner at Sukhothai on the brand new Norwegian Aqua was a standout moment, not just for the food, but for how unique the experience is at sea.

As the first dedicated Thai restaurant on any cruise ship, it brings something fresh and unexpected to cruising. The space is beautifully designed, and the menu offers a thoughtful take on classic Thai dishes.

We really enjoyed the pad thai and several curries, full of flavor and with just the right amount of spice.

If you’re looking for something different while cruising or just love Thai food, Sukhothai is worth a reservation. It’s a unique find on a cruise ship and a great way to mix up your dining experience.

Two unforgettable weeks in Rajasthan, India—an adventure filled with rich culture, luxury stays, and warm hospitality at every turn.

We kicked things off at Raffles Jaipur, where the signature Jaipur Sling was the perfect welcome to the Pink City and a taste of the elegance to come.

The Oberoi Rajvilas was a serene escape. Our private pool villa felt like a world of its own, and the highlights were many: a deeply personal private cooking session as well as an incredible mango tasting led by the executive chef. Special thanks to the GM, Vishal, whose warmth and attention made every moment special.

At The Oberoi Udaivilas, we were spoiled with unforgettable meals and genuinely heartfelt service. And there were several amazing ladies at the property that truly went out of their way to care for us, making us feel more like family than guests.

Our anniversary at Shahpura Bagh was nothing short of magical. The timeless charm of the estate and a quiet, starlit dinner created a deeply memorable celebration.

Six Senses Fort Barwara delivered an extraordinary balance of royal architecture and soul-soothing wellness. The spa services were outstanding, and huge thanks to Pratik, our behind-the-scenes “GEM” who made sure everything ran flawlessly.

At Suján Sher Bagh, we immersed ourselves in the wild—luxurious tented living paired with unforgettable safaris that brought us face to face with nature in the most exhilarating way.

This journey was made richer by the company of Vijay, our consummate guide, who brought India’s culture, history, and beauty to life with passion and knowledge. And Sunil, who was so much more than our driver—his thoughtfulness and care in the small things made every day easier, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.

Looking for a side of India most travelers miss, without giving up all of the comfort?

Shahpura Bagh is already been one of the most memorable stays of our India trip. It’s set on a quiet 48-acre estate in rural Rajasthan and it’s very peaceful, beautifully run, and full of charm.

With only 9 rooms, it feels personal and unhurried. The pool is stunning, better than many 5-star hotels we’ve stayed at, and the hospitality is everything you’d expect from India and more.

What really stood out: the accessibility. With ramps throughout the property, wide doorways and open bathrooms, it’s easily one of the most accessible boutique hotels we’ve ever come across.

An ideal stop for those wanting to explore a more off-the-beaten-path side of India while still enjoying the comforts of luxury.

Three days, multiple setbacks, and a survival kit made entirely of hotel toiletries later… we are finally on our way to Delhi! Flying with Etihad via Abu Dhabi and honestly, we’re running on fumes, snacks, and sheer determination at this point. It’s been a whirlwind of rebookings, delays, and makeshift routines—but the excitement of getting to India is keeping our spirits up. Bags under our eyes? Yes. Bags finally checked in? Also yes. Let’s recap this wild travel saga:
• Sunday: We were supposed to fly from Vegas to LA to Singapore to Delhi.
• Mechanical issues delayed the Vegas-LA flight. Missed our Singapore Air connection.
• No flights available on Singapore Air for days but we found a way to Delhi by departing from Dallas.
• Made it to Dallas Sunday night. Our luggage didn’t.
• Missed Monday’s flight to Delhi. Because we had no luggage.
• Luggage finally showed up… Rebooked for Tuesday.
• Tuesday morning, got on the plane, rain started, got into the actual runway, then sat on the runway forever.
• Then the airport shut down due to lightning strikes. Then the crew timed out. Flight canceled.
• Rebooked flights to Delhi (again) for Wednesday.
• Back to the Grand Hyatt DFW (shout out to for the amazing service) for our 3rd night in Dallas.

Basically starring in “The Terminal” reboot.

We’ve had the pleasure of flying Singapore Airlines in First Class several times and it truly never gets old. Honestly International First Class is never necessary when Business Class is already an amazing experience. However, it really is an over-the-top experience that you will not regret splurging on, at least once.

The service is always top-notch—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful without being over the top. The suites are super spacious and private, making long flights incredibly comfortable.

The menu options in First Class are impressively varied (literally 22 pages long), offering something for every mood and craving. From local Asian favorites to international dishes, everything is beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The quality is consistently great, and each meal feels thoughtful and personal presented just for us.

When it’s time to sleep, the crew transforms the suite into a fully flat bed with a mattress and soft duvet. Since we always travel together, it feels like we have a cozy double bed in the sky. And who could resist the delightful touch of finding a little Singapore Airlines bear on each bed!

Flying with Singapore Airlines is pampering in the skies. From the moment we settle into our seats, it feels like we’ve entered a luxurious sanctuary, high above the world. It’s a feeling that that stays with us and it’s very easy to understand why they’re consistently at the top of the airline rankings.

Flying Qantas First Class on the A380 was an unforgettable experience. The spacious suite gave us room to relax, with seats that transformed into incredibly comfortable beds. The dining was exceptional—an extensive menu of delicious dishes, beautifully prepared. The service was flawless, attentive yet never intrusive.

One of the best parts? The table was so large that we could dine together in the same suite, making the experience even more special.

The A380 is the best way to fly—so quiet, smooth, and luxurious. I love double-decker planes and wish they weren’t disappearing. This truly is the best way to travel between the U.S. and Australia.
