When in Sanday, you have to pop in to 59 Degrees North for an award winning pizza. Opening for the summer season from 14th April.

Based on Sanday, the largest of Orkney’s north isles, 59 Degrees North is the UK’s most northerly wood-fired pizzeria. It’s won multiple awards and was recently featured on BBC’s Jules & Greg’s Wild Swim.

Huge congratulations to Sanday’s now multiple Award Winning eating experience.

Well we only went and won best eating experience in Orkney at the Destination Orkney awards tonight.

I was and still am lost for words. It’s not for me, this is for us, the most amazing team that makes 59° what it is.

Being voted in the top 3, with Sheila Fleet Jewellery and The Storehouse Restaurant with Rooms was simply unbelievable, but to win, has literally brought a tear to my eye!
