One of my favourite churches anywhere. St. Aidan’s at Bamburgh. What a setting.
The last photo is of a wooden staff that apparently held up Aidan while he took is last breath.
1st Bishop of Lindisfarne (and indirectly of Durham of course).

Our very first 'Dog of the Day' winner- and what an absolute beauty!
Sophie was spotted walking with her dad along Durham's riverbanks. She chose her treat and won her dad a free coffee at Cafe at The Quarter - the amazing dog friendly café in the centre of Durham.
Sophie finally posed for the camera after trying to avoid the hill by introducing herself to our group. It was the highlight of our tour.
A massive thank you to Amy at Café at The Quarter for collaborating on this new venture.
This week I have been speaking to some of our indie bookshops. First up is Chris from BookWyrm located inside the Market Hall.

No storm can stop these two from doing the Full City Tour on Saturday morning. Conditions were a lot different from their native California and Venezuela but they soldiered on. Good craic and a fab morning.
