We love McCall's! The business itself and the family who runs it. You can see their farm from our deck and you have to drive by it to get to the house -- might as well STOP and support local.

As of today, our calendar is blocked for a couple months…expect a new and improved DECK when we’re open again! 🎉🙌🏼😍 Bigger, nicer, stairs off it, more seating, and even a better view.

(Plus, *doors* from the Primary bedroom TO the deck!)

We’ve decided to reopen our rental starting October 19. After much consideration, we want to support the local community, including shops, restaurants, our property manager, and our cleaners, who all rely on tourism.

If you plan a visit, please be mindful that while this area has been less impacted, some neighboring regions are still recovering. Come to support local businesses and enjoy a peaceful stay with stunning views—but not to observe the aftermath.

Also, please note that many parks and trails remain closed.

Our home and property are ok (no power/some trees down/etc but thankfully no serious damage).

But Western NC is devastated. Send prayers (and money, if possible). Avoid the area while the area works to recover.

This week Pedaler’s Roost got a few upgrades!!

A new well pump and pressure tank - whoa! This one can’t really be “seen,” but is a huge, important one!!

Also, the dysfunctional hot tub that was just a waste of space is gone and in its place is a new picnic table! And the old picnic table near the tires swing also got replaced!
