Since I've been sharing a lot of Scarlet Night pictures this week - it wouldn't be complete without highlighting - STUNNING as Lydia the Hostess! Not only is Lydia the BEST human - she is my favorite Hostess ever.

On Scarlet Night, the Hostess personifies the ever-present Octopus Goddess, as she unveils the tragic story of her love (and the origin story of some pretty enduring sea-faring mythology). Enter the Goddess' Lair and hope you make it back above the waves before it's too late.

Scarlet Night is a once-in-a-voyage event, featured on all Virgin Voyages Lady Ships! Originally developed by the folks behind the legendary and long-running Sleep No More show in New York, it's a night of discovery - with a sea-worthy myth and backstory that is worth coming back and back again.

It all culminates in an amazing pool dance party, protected by the beloved Octopus Goddess (IYKYK) and getting all the Sailors a little (or a lot) wet. 💦

Scarlet Night is the pinnacle of every Voyage on Virgin Voyages, and it's impossible to describe. It starts here in the Roundabout and becomes a ship wide evening of discovery - ending in an EPIC party at the pool!

Fun fact - see that red "ray" in the dial on the ceiling? That's a compass! Even in the heart of a Lady Ship, you can always find your way. 🐙🌙❤

Every one of Virgin Voyages' Lady Ships has some unique artwork to set them apart - and Resilient Lady has a really fun photo op! These Carousel Seahorses symbolize bravery, fearlessness, and daring - and are so fun to climb all over. 😝

They call it an adults-only cruise line. I call it an "Inner Child" cruise line.

One of the highlights of sailing on Resilient Lady last week was running into this absolute ROCKSTAR! Gavin is currently a Mega Rockstar Agent, but when we met over two years ago, he was my Rockstar Agent on my very first Virgin Voyages sailing!

What's a Rockstar Agent? When you book a suite on a Virgin Voyages cruise (called a Rockstar or Mega Rockstar Cabin), you get your very own Agent, who takes extra care of you during your trip.

Here are extra precautions to help you avoid the costly tourist traps:

👉🏼Ask Locals for Recommendations: Find trusted recommendations from locals to locate genuine, budget-friendly experiences.

👉🏼Set a Spending Limit: Always carry a smaller amount of cash, and only use credit cards in reputable establishments.

👉🏼Trust Your Gut: If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is! Sometimes a friendly ‘no, thank you’ is all you need.

Also don’t leave the comfort of your group/travel buddy.
