With global tourism recovering from the pandemic in 2024, the province welcomed 4.3 million+ visitors, surpassing 3.6 million+ in 2023 and 3.8 million+ in 2019. Tourism revenues also rose by 16.9% to PHP10.4B.

Pagudpud, with its pristine beaches and scenic landscapes, remains the top destination, while adventure and cleanliness continue to draw visitors.

The number of returning visitors rose 45.7%, suggesting traveler satisfaction. 96.6% are domestic travelers, while 3.4% are foreign tourists, mostly from the US, Canada, Europe, and India. Average guest nights for domestic and foreign visitors likewise increased by 7.1% and 70.7% respectively.

With visitors returning in record numbers, Ilocos Norte exemplifies the resilience and strength of Philippine tourism. The future is brighter than ever!
