When in Dublin, Don’t Miss These Must-Do Experiences
1. Hop on the Big Bus Tour
For just $20, this tour gives you an epic overview of the city with a live guide who's absolutely hilarious. You'll hear all about Dublin’s history, legends, and the stories behind the sites, from Viking roots to revolutionary heroes. Best part? It includes a free pint of Guinness at Nancy’s Hands, redeemable anytime during your stay! It gave us the full lay of the land in one day, so we could spend the rest of our time roaming, relaxing, and soaking in the culture.
2. Tour the Guinness Storehouse
An absolute must, but book in advance! Spots fill up fast, and missing out would be heartbreaking. The experience is immersive, and the rooftop Gravity Bar views with a pint in hand are unforgettable.
3. Walk through history at Trinity College.
Don’t skip the Long Room Library or the Book of Kells. It’s straight out of a storybook.
4. Soak up live music in Temple Bar. Tourist-heavy, yes, but the energy, trad music, and atmosphere are electric.
5. Relax in the parks.
St. Stephen’s Green is perfect for a peaceful break, while Phoenix Park is massive and has wild deer!
6. Wander Grafton Street & local shops.
Dublin’s vintage and boutique thrift shops are next level. Every shop felt like a treasure hunt, and the finds? Unreal. I left with one-of-a-kind pieces I still can’t believe I scored. Street performers, Irish charm, and cozy corners everywhere you turn.
7. Pop into local bookshops & pubs.
Dublin’s a UNESCO City of Literature. Writers’ haunt-filled pubs (like The Duke) are a perfect blend of brains and beer.
Whatever you do, make sure to slow down, chat with locals, and embrace the warm Dublin spirit. They are amazing! Sláinte! 🍀
