When you're unexpectedly hit by a 🌊 wave at the beach and end up swallowing a mouthful of salty water, the unpleasant taste comes from more than just salt.
Photographer David Littschwager has taken an incredible photo showing what a single drop of seawater looks like when magnified 25 times, uncovering a bustling ecosystem within it. This includes crab larvae, diatoms, bacteria, fish eggs, zooplankton, and worms.
