It’s almost time for the annual post-legislative session spring break Blue Ghost Adventure. Eleven lucky friends will head to Uruguay for some time at the beach in Punta Del Este, visiting some vineyards and world renowned restaurants and maybe a day trip over to Buenos Aires just because we can! Stay tuned for pictures.

Australia 2025 is over. We had a great
time doing the Great Ocean Walk west of Melbourne and then over to
Tasmania for the 3 Capes Trek. Finished up with a few days exploring Melbourne. Lovely to be away!

Just finished another Blue Ghost Adventure. This time a 9 day trek on the Jhumalhari trail in Bhutan. There were 7 in our hardy crew plus our support team - guide, cook, trek assistants and horsemen. Plus the horses. Lots of horses. Here are a few shots. More to come. What a trip!

Another Blue Ghost Adventure begins. This time in the Kingdom of
Bhutan. Trekking starts today. We will be on the trail for 9 days. More to
come but here’s a taste of our first two days in Paro, Bhutan.

Two days down on the West Highland Way in Scotland. All told it will be 96
miles but we’ve covered 26 miles so far. We’ve also had the best weather they’ve had this summer. Very lucky us.

Planning for 2025 Blue Ghost Adventures. First up for the year is a light backpacking trip in Melbourne Australia and the 3 Capes Walk in Tasmania. Taz is one of my favorite places on earth and good airfares mean we get to return in February 2025. If you are interested in this trip going from Feb 16-March 2, let me know. The trip is filling up fast. And well it should. Can’t wait!

Family Camp 2024. It’s a wrap! Twenty parents, 21 kids, 4 days and 3 nights. Untold number of adventures. We ran, swam in the swimming hole, visited the bamboo garden and the tree house, boated in the kayaks. Saw a bunch of snakes, frogs and tadpoles becoming frogs, a white squirrel and a beaver on the river. Went tubing on the French Broad River. Went swimming beneath a waterfall. Ate a serious amount of ice cream, roasted marshmallows, ate 12
pizzas and some candy. And no one got hurt and cried! Not even the parents.

You watch, you wonder…could I do that long trek? Now’s your chance to find out. Blue Ghost Adventures will be taking on the West Highland Way in Scotland in September. It’s 96 miles over 9 days. AND we’ll be staying at
local inns along the way with someone else moving our bags while we hike with daypacks filled with lunch, water bottles and personal items for the day. It’s a perfect starter trail. Like the tale of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears - it’s not too hard, not to soft. It’s just right. Let me know if you need a Fall getaway from campaign ads and late summer heat!
