New iPod is "Arsenic-free glass, BFR-free, Mercury-free, PVC-free, Highly Recyclable" which should make environmentalists relatively happy.

“So, the new iPod nano: video camera, larger 2.2-inch display, polished anodized aluminum, mic and speaker, VoiceOver, FM Radio, pedometer. And it comes in awesome colors this year.” (that is actually pretty awesome) 8GB $149, 16GB $179

Jobs continues, "On the back of every nano is a video camera and a mic integrated right in, and a speaker as well." (now everyone can share video of what they ate for lunch, awesome)

TEKBUG is back, as a personal hobby project. From 2001-2002 Tekbug was the largest free tech publication in the Seattle area. It was also the first publication I launched from scratch, so I've always had an affinity for it. The new TEKBUG will be similar to the old one, just with a more intense focus on mobile, media and what has become the "tech lifestyle." Keep an eye on it.

Recently, we started using Basecamp around the office. It's a project management application by 37Signals, and it is, in short, a nearly perfect application for group-based project management. Even better, they implemented an open API that allows for 3rd party programs to be built around it. On the iPhone there is a large selection of programs to take advantage of the API. Most of them are pretty good, too.

New Facebook 3.0.1 iPhone app is a great example of taking a complex site and iPhonifying it. 99% of the power and 100% fewer ads. It's really a brilliant accomplishment. All it needs now is the ability to upload videos, too.
