Press) and another on secrets of Richmond (Reedy Press). Since my current research keeps me closer to home, I have more time to explore this diverse region and share my experiences with readers.

Fin pleasures in Gent, from traditional oude to modern. The Copperhead gin at Belleman was smooth, balanced blend of botanicals. The sample of an Ouse gin at Bookz & Booze (great place) was also very pleasant. The storied gin bar, ‘t Drupelkot, was worth experiencing (more than once, if you’re young).
