My business Nikki's Portraits of Childhood has been in operation now for 26 years and although I'm based in Regina, collectors of my work span Canada and into the U.S. I have many repeat private collectors who own as many as 7 - 8 of my originals. I am very blessed to have their support and to have developed friendships with many of these folks through my business. Since 2017 I have also been an
instructor for the Neil Balkwill Civic Art Centre in Regina. In 2019 I was please to be welcomed into the Regina Art Collective exhibiting several times a year with the group at The Lobby Gallery. My most recent solo show was held at the Assiniboia Art Gallery where I was pleased to join the ranks of many impressive Canadian artists. I have also exhibited at the University of Regina Club, Government House, the Joe Moran and the Dunlop Branch Galleries in Regina. I am also a regular exhibitor at the Regina Spring Home Show and I will be there once again this year. In recent years I began to expand my business Nikki’s Portraits of Childhood to include art instruction and painting holidays. In 2013 and 2015 I led 2 group of artists to paint plein air in Paris and the S.E. I also led 2 groups to paint Trinidad and Havana, Cuba in 2015 and 16. My love of the outdoors and painting plein air allowed me to spend time working in the Moose Mountain Artists’ Colony in 2012,13, 14, 15 and 2016. I was also a Guest Artist in Residence for 3 years ( 2011, 12 & 13) at Cypress Hills, SK through a Creative Partnerships Grant with the Sask Parks & The Friends of Cypress Hills Inc, funded by the Sask Arts Board, Sask Lotteries and Sask. There I designed and provided arts programing to visitors to the park and conducted open studio times while working on my art practise. The following 3 years I was a successful applicant to the Johnson Cultural Centre in the park. Following the end of the Art in the Park Program, I continued ever year to lead artists in plein air painting both the West and East block of Cypress Hills, Sask. I invite you to join me there this year, July 18 - 25th, 2022. Please reserve your spot via my web site link on this page. In the 2013 / 2014 I was pleased to be a successful applicant to the CARFAC Mentorship program funded through the Sask. Arts Board and was so grateful to be mentored by artist Iris Hauser. In 2019 a Canadian fashion manufacturer approached me to create my line of Limited Edition Art Inspired Fashions applying my artwork to their styles. Only 3 of any 1 art / style combo is ever created. To see available styles please join her Facebook VIP group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/614529122666653/?ref=share
