🎶🎶 On the 12th day of Christmas my Main Street Magic advisor gave to me 12 tips for Walt Disney World!

1️⃣ Plan Ahead: The sweet spot is to book your trip about 6-12 months in advance.

2⃣ Stay at a Disney Hotel: Disney hotels excel in thematic design and in customer service! The perks and the small things that come with being operated by Disney make the overall experience much more enjoyable. Among the included perks of staying at a Disney hotel are: complimentary transportation, early park entry, early access to lightning lanes, and more!

3️⃣ Schedule Some Down Time From the Parks: If you are staying onsite, make sure you set aside time to enjoy your resort. Go swimming, check out their planned activities, or just find a quiet spot to relax. The Disney resorts are wonderful, but it is easy to forget to plan time to explore them.

4️⃣ Wear Good Shoes: Don’t underestimate the walking. It can be exhausting to have so much fun, and Disney World trips will wear you out. If you aren’t used to walking several miles per day, it is a good idea to incorporate some walking at home in the weeks before your trip.

5⃣ Download the My Disney Experience App: Practice using and familiarizing yourself the features on the app before you travel. Nearly everything you’ll need to do in the parks will be done on it (Mobile Ordering, Lightning Lane selections, tickets, etc.).

6⃣ Get the Memory Maker photo package ~ it's worth it: Have your family's magical vacation memories captured by a professional photographer throughout WDW. Your photos are available for you to view, download and share online.

7⃣ Use Disney Gift Cards: You can save some money by purchasing Disney gift cards at a discount. Place like Sam’s, Target. Many people buy in bulk to pay for entire Disney trips, allowing them to save a few hundred dollars!

8⃣ Plan Your Time in the Parks but Allow for Flexibility: Sometimes things don't go as planned...you can always rearrange if need be! Allow yourself some grace as likely you will not get to see and do EVERYTHING.

9⃣ Know the Summer Months in WDW are Really HOT: If you visit during this time of year, be sure to stay hydrated and pack cooling towels, wear light clothing, and try to seek air conditioned areas to take breaks in.

🔟 Aim for Four Park Days: Although there’s no right length for a Disney World trip, my go-to recommendation is at least four full days (one for each park) with a travel day on either end.

1⃣1⃣ Book Your Advance Dining Reservations: Advance Dining Reservations, or ADRs, can be booked 60 days in advance. You’ll want to pick your restaurants as early as possible and then look into booking them. And keep your eyes on slots you can't get immediately, as they may open up.

1⃣2⃣ Get a Dole Whip & A Mickey Bar: Dole Whip (Pineapple Soft Serve) and a Mickey Bar are essential Disney parks treat. Is telling you to eat a snack really a tip? Maybe not, but I couldn’t leave you without mentioning it!

🎶🎶On the 11th day of Christmas, my Main Street Magic advisor gave to me 11 tips to plan a trip to Europe!

1. Check visa requirements and travel advisories for the countries you're visiting. Some countries have specific health entry requirements, like vaccinations.

2. Choose your travel dates wisely. Traveling in late fall can be cheaper and less crowded than summer and the holidays.

3. Use public transportation like trains, buses, or trams instead of renting a car. Public transportation in Europe is reliable and can save you a lot of money.

4. Think about dining outside of traditional restaurants. Check out local markets, cafes, and street vendors for a more affordable and authentic meal.

5. Learn a few words in the languages of the counties you are visiting. While it's possible to travel through Europe speaking only English, it's important to acknowledge the significance of multiple languages in Europe.

6. ALWAYS get travel insurance! This can cover you for things like canceled flights, lost luggage, or illness and injury. Your US based health insurance most likely won’t cover you overseas.

7. Know if your mobile phone has an international plan before you leave home!

8. Alert your bank and credit card companies that you'll be traveling so your transactions are not flagged as fraud.

9. Have a must do and see list, but also be open to spontaneous adventures! Walk down that little side street, talk to a local. This where you find little nuggets of magic!

10. Keep your belongings close. While Europe is generally very safe, there will be pickpockets around. Be aware of your surroundings.

11. Try the food! Even if it’s not something you would normally eat. Eat the local cuisine. It’s part of the cultural immersion!

🎶🎶 On the 10th day of Christmas my Main Street advisor gave to me ten tips for visiting Mexico!

1. Familiarize Yourself with Inclusions
Not all all-inclusive packages are the same. Some resorts include premium alcohol, spa credits, or excursions, while others charge extra. Review your package details ahead of time.

2. Make Dinner Reservations Early
Specialty restaurants often require reservations, and spots can fill up quickly. Book your preferred dining experiences as soon as you arrive (or even before).

3. Bring Small Bills for Tipping
While tips are often included, it’s customary to tip for exceptional service. A few pesos or dollars for bartenders, servers, or housekeeping staff goes a long way in showing appreciation.

4. Pack Resort-Ready Attire
Many all-inclusive resorts have dress codes for dinner, especially at fine dining restaurants. Bring resort casual or smart attire alongside your swimwear and flip-flops.

5. Use the Resort App or Map
Larger resorts can be overwhelming. Most offer a mobile app or map to help you locate restaurants, pools, activities, and entertainment schedules.

6. Secure Poolside or Beach Chairs Early
Chairs can fill up fast, especially near prime spots. Head out early in the morning to claim your space (but don’t forget to follow resort policies about unattended items).

7. Take Advantage of Free Activities
Many resorts offer non-motorized water sports, yoga classes, or cooking lessons as part of the package. Check the daily schedule so you don’t miss out on these perks.

8. Drink Plenty of Water
With all the tropical cocktails flowing, it’s easy to forget hydration. Most reputable resorts have filtered water now.

9. Try Local Cuisine
While international buffet options abound, don’t skip the authentic Mexican dishes. Look for regional specialties like fresh ceviche.

10. Plan Off-Resort Excursions Thoughtfully
Resorts often partner with reputable tour companies for excursions. Whether it’s a trip to cenotes or Mayan ruins, booking through the resort ensures safety and reliability.
