✈️ FLYING INTO MELBOURNE ORLANDO RATHER THAN MCO – WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? 🇺🇸

Something I wanted to share from my recent TUI Orlando trip!

We flew into Melbourne Orlando International Airport rather than the main Orlando International Airport (MCO), and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised!

Yes, the transfer to the Orlando theme park area is longer, but there are some real positives!

✈️ It's a much smaller airport, so really easy to find your way around.

🛂 We had no queues at passport control on arrival, which was brilliant after a long flight!

🧳 Everything felt much calmer and less hectic than a big international airport.

🚗 You still have the usual options for transfers and car hire, so getting to your hotel is straightforward.

The transfer to the International Drive area is around 75–90 minutes, depending on traffic, but personally I think the easier airport experience makes up for some of that extra journey time.

Would I fly into Melbourne Orlando again? Absolutely!

Just goes to show that flying into the main Orlando airport isn't always the only option worth considering.

One of the hotels I visited during my TUI Orlando trip last week was Coco Key Resort & Water Park on International Drive, and I have to say, I really liked this one!

What stood out to me was the lovely family feel. The rooms were clean, recently refurbished and, even better, they have proper beds for the children rather than sofa beds! Interconnecting rooms are also available, which is great for larger families.

📍 The location is fantastic! Right on International Drive, with plenty of restaurants, shops and entertainment nearby, plus free shuttles to help you get out and explore.

💦 And of course, there's the on-site water park, which is a huge bonus for families!
