The Plasma Torch Protection System (PTPS) protects against damage caused by plasma torch crash or collision. One of the many unique features of Plasma Torch Protection System is that when it comes into contact with a foreign object, drops through a cut hole, or drags the torch nozzle on the plate the plasma torch will pivot out of the direction of torch travel and immediately shut off the plasma a

rc and stop all gantry movement. Depending on your CNC table manufacturer, our system works two different ways.

1: It sends a signal to stop all drive motors and stop arc. You simply reset the plasma torch back into its vertical lock position and depending on the manufacturer of your CNC table you restart your control unit or the (all on) button and go. On some tables you can even go back and restart the torch at the point of lost arc.

2: The Plasma Torch Protection System sends a signal to the controller for an E-stop. Imagine hitting your E-stop button at the exact moment your torch encounters a problem stopping gantry movement and arc. On this system you would simply reset the plasma torch back to its vertical lock position and reset the E-stop/start switch. No more sitting next to your machine watching for a problem to occur so you can slam the hold/E-stop button!
