Whilst in Nashville we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame which covers country music from the early days to current date. It is full of interesting history. We also went to the Woodlawn Memorial Park to see where Dolly Parton has been laid to rest. We were lucky to also get to enjoy the 101st birthday party weekend at the Grand Ole Opry.

We are in Nashville and have just stayed in Dolly Parton’s brand new Songteller Hotel and what an amazing glitz and glamour place to stay. Dolly added lots of her special touches including two music and dining venues and spectacular rooms designs throughout.

Yesterday Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort celebrated 65 years and opened in 1955. It is such a beautiful hotel and the beach is amazing. There are around 80 shops and roughly 18 on-site restaurants and bars, 5 pools and on Friday every week they have fireworks on the beach. Interesting to see the photos of what it looked like back then and see the contrast with the recent photo ⛱️☀️

Wow what a great event! Emilio Santoro’s “Raised on Rock” festival in Weston Super Mare came to a close last night after 3 days of World Class performances from some of the very best Elvis Tribute Artists. The last day included Juan Lozano’s emotional Gospel show, an engaging quiz and the headliners “Last Farewell”. Thanks to Emilio, family and team for organising the festival and also lovely to catch up with friends at the event.

On the 2nd day of the festival there was a spinout song selection where the audience selected the songs if their name came up on the wheel and then the ETAs sang the songs, which was fun. Followed by Elvis in Hollywood film songs. In the evening the Ultimate winners did a fantastic show to finish a great second day

Yesterday was the first day of “Raised on Rock” festival organised by Emilio Santoro in Weston Super Mare. Great opening night with performances from Mike Nova, Ben Thompson, Jay Dupuis, Alex Mitchell, Pat Dunn and Ciaran Houlihan followed by a disco and some original Elvis videos.
