Since 1985, the Lexington Carriage Company has offered an intriguing way for visitors to discover the rich history of Lexington. Slowed to the pace and rhythm of hoofbeats, horse-drawn carriages travel through Lexington's unique historic residential and business districts while professional tour guides point out places of interest along the way. The Carriage Company is also delighted to provide ca

rriage services for weddings and other special occasions! Our wedding service will make your day a “Cinderella story” event when a white convertible carriage pulled by a team of matched horses arrives to take you to your wedding, or to whisk you away for a romantic newlywed ride together, before taking you to your reception. A “Just Married” sign on the back of the carriage will announce to all that it is your day! Tours begin across the street from the Lexington Visitor Center (106 E. Washington Street) and operate daily (weather permitting) April-October. Walk ups are welcome, or reservations available at www.lexcarriage.com

Unfortunately, because of a change of venue due to weather concerns, we won’t be doing carriage rides at this year’s festival. We certainly hope that that won’t stop you from going out to this event and supporting our friends at Healing Strides. We look forward to hopefully being back at the Apple Festival next year!

🍎 IMPORTANT APPLE FESTIVAL LOCATION UPDATE! 🍎

We are so excited to celebrate Healing Strides with the Apple Smash Concert on Friday and Apple Festival this Saturday!

Due to the inclement weather forecast and concerns that the original festival property will not be optimal because of rain and muddy conditions, we have made the decision to MOVE the Apple Festival to Healing Strides!

📍 NEW LOCATION:

Boones Mill, VA 24065

The great news? Healing Strides is located just 2.7 miles from the original festival site and features a massive covered horse arena, allowing us to keep the music, activities, vendors and mission of the Apple Festival going while providing a much better experience for everyone!

One of our own is getting hitched! We will be closed on Saturday, September 5 to attend the wedding, but we will reopen on Sunday, the 6th at 11am. We look forward see you then!

This is Cayden, one of the dogs on the farm—although he’s more of a couch potato than a farm dog—he’s here to remind you that it’s National Dog Day! Did you know that good mannered dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome on the carriage? So load up your pup and come take a ride with us! 🐶🐾🦮

A day in the life on the farm…it’s amazing how quickly a powerful thirst comes upon them as soon as they notice me cleaning the water trough. Suddenly a line forms to try out that fresh water. And, we can all relate, right? A good glass of cold water on a warm day hits just right! Jake decided he would also take the opportunity to wash his face during his turn!😂
