After our recent announcement that we will be stopping the courier service on board the London Superfast on the 21/4/2025, James and Stuart Berry would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to our customers for your positive comments and understanding. This decision marks the end of an era and was not taken lightly, but was necessary to ensure we maintain the services affordability and safety of both our Superfast team and customers. You will be pleased to know you will still be greeted by a friendly team in Hammersmith. The driver, and a meet and greet representative will be on the stand to ensure you have a smooth departure and to answer any of your queries.

Thank you all for your continued loyal support over the many years the service has run, and for the many years to come.

Berrys has been running the Superfast express services since the 1980s. We know that we have many loyal and regular customers and we are very grateful for that.
Part of the service has been the onboard couriers, but in recent years the risk of injury to both courier staff and to the travelling public has been highlighted by our insurers and by others. Couriers walking around on a moving coach raises a risk of injury should that vehicle have to brake or swerve in the event of an emergency. Added to that, carrying hot drinks as part of the service is increasingly seen as a potential risk to couriers and to others on the vehicle in the event of such an emergency or through a simple trip or slip on the vehicle.
In addition, the increasing costs of providing the Superfast service over recent years, exacerbated by the changes in the recent Government budget, mean that we do not believe we can maintain the service to include couriers and still maintain our ticket prices at a level which is attractive to our customers and potential customers.
Consequently, we have reluctantly decided that the courier service on the Superfast will stop on 21st April. We do hope that you understand and continue to support us.
