Did the northern lights come out to celebrate... or does Iceland always glow like this?
A price patiently watched, a country longed for over two decades, and one alert that finally made it happen...some say it’s fate, destiny, (a well-timed glance at the aurora forecast)… some say it’s Lanie, Ren, Lousson, and Willis over at Going. No one knows for sure 😉
❄️ What made this trip special?
→ A 37,000-point round-trip to Iceland (paid in patience, not dollars!)
→ A 20-year dream finally crossing over from “someday” to “I’m finally making it happen!!!!“
→ Northern lights AND volcanoes on one unforgettable itinerary
That’s the magic of a points deal: it doesn’t just save you money, it turns “once in a lifetime” into “wait, I can actually do this.” The alert that rewarded all that patience? Also one of the easiest trips she’s ever booked. (tbh we’re cheering her on the whole way and CANNOT WAIT to hear more about what Kara gets up to when she’s back).
Iceland is hands down one of the most jaw-dropping countries on Earth—glaciers, frozen waterfalls, black sand beaches, aurora-streaked skies, and volcanoes that look straight out of a dream—and with award space like this popping up, it’s more achievable than ever. 🌋
Not-so-secret-pro tip while you’re there: grab a famous Icelandic hot dog (pylsur) from a street stand and a warm bun from a Reykjavík bakery—small bites, big memories. 🌭 (side note: why is there no cinnamon roll emoji?! Someone tag Apple to rectify this)
